Default Should I start styling my hair? Did your hair earn you more?

I haven't noticed much difference in money whether I styled or not styled my hair when I first began dancing, but stopped quickly after. I used to curl my hair but since it took so much time and I mess up, I stopped. I am thinking of styling it now. Maybe like a blow out style.

My hair is naturally straight with a bit of wave to it (I am East Asian) and I am going to grow it to waist length, all natural black. I let it loose, or in a high ponytail while I am on stage. Do I have to do more? Does it look negligent? I've seen both girls with tons of highlights and extensions in, styled to the max, and I've seen girls with medium hair length tied in a ponytail.

I take care of everything else - I go to gym, I am slim, I take care of my skin (hairless and soft thanks to coco butter), and do my nails (at home... not at salon).

I am thinking if I need to style, I'll get someone else to do it (we don't have a stylist at the club but I can get it done outside).

I think it matters if you feel more confident and sexy with a fresh style.

I really don't think guys notice as much and you'd make money either way. You could probably roll in with bed head and there would be some dude somewhere that finds it hot and be ready to pay you.

I think it matters. But it doesn't matter for everyone. My hair looks ugly or at least plain Jane if I don't style it. I'm really loving braids right now.

IME, I paid a lot of money to have professional hair extensions put in and I banked. I made the money back and some. Guys were calling me over too. Groomed hair matters.

I find it tacky when girls have gym lazy girl ponytails. At least at an upscale club. Ugh. We're suppose to be a fantasy, not your everyday chick.

Length and smoothness matters a lot more than whether it's curly or straight/blond or brunette. Men love long shiny hair worn down, at least ime

If you've got a banging bod and pretty face nice hair is just another plus. It doesn't hurt.

Yeah, looking polished. I agree. You can have messy hair end still be polished if it's styled right

If you are very pretty, then they really don't care.

I don't think I am the best judge of my own beauty but I thought that if you're Asian and you have stereotypically asian hair, they wouldn't care as much? but idk I try to make up for it in other ways and I try for that innocent, pure girl look.

Anyway I am going to give styling a shot and see if it changes my attitude or the money I earn. I don't want to do extensions though, I'll probably take shit care of it and my end goal is to have lustrous long hair (my own).

Getting clip-in hair extensions was the single best thing I ever did to make more money. I also started wearing them daily in regular life, haha. The clip-ins are easier on your hair IME than the kind you get in the salon, because you can take them out at night, they won't fall out and rip out your roots, etc.

Some girls are gifted with awesome natural hair buuut not all of us. I have thin hair that makes me look years older than I really am, unless I thicken it up with extensions. Try out different looks and experiment, there's no other way to know what will work better for you.

I've had a lot of guys love that my hair is natural without extensions and since I don't usually spend much time styling it, I'll let them touch it which is a big hit with some. So I think if your hair looks good just brushed, thats great. I'm bad at curling my hair and just don't have the patience for it, so I just ordered some hot rollers to try out. Maybe if those work out I'll curl my hair more since I can do my makeup while my hair sets to save time. We'll see though.

I'm also a fan of simple styles, but I don't like ponytails at work (unless it's that ultra thick, super high, extension pony tail look that looks like an actual style instead of just needing your hair out of the way) one thing I do like is how much you can do with a jeweled hair clip. I got a small one and I can do so much with it and it makes my hair look effortlessly flawless. I'll take a strand from the front part of both sides of my head and clip it in the back, or clip my bangs up in a bump or off to the side. It's a lot faster than curling and easier to fix if it gets messed up.
