    Default Upper body strength!

Hello ladies , ok amma just throw this out there . I'm starting a pole class soon in the hope of learning some basic stuff however i cant get to grips with my arms either hauling me up the pole , or having the strength to do it!

I go the gym alot , i lift alot and also have quite huge legs i mean muscular tree trunk kinda legs!
how do you girls do it? what can i do to gain upper body strength or is it just one of those kinda things you either have or you don't have!

    asking for help!

This pullup progression will help you out a ton with being able to lift yourself up: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/ladi...-training.html

It's the best one I've seen- most people just do assisted pullups if they can't do full ones but they'll literally never get you there because it doesn't teach the proper muscle activation you need.

If you are able to do pullups but can't lift yourself on the pole, it's likely a grip issue. You will build that as you go- at first it will feel like all you do is slide all over the place but eventually you'll be able to hold yourself up for days.

Most girls can't do a thing when they start so don't stress out about it too much. Keep working at it and it will come in time.

So there are spins where you don't actually have to haul yourself all the way up the pole--a lot of the grab-and-fall-gracefully spins are like that. Look up super basic pole spins on YouTube and do those. Every shift. As many as you can.

That's what I did and it worked for me. About two months in, I realized I was pulling myself up into my spins instead of falling into them, and I was able to try more advanced moves.
