Default She has it out for me.

There's a waitress at work that blatantly I can tell just does not like me. We have one waitress during the day and she literally will grab another girl to approach a customer before I can get to them. Intetionally makes sure a customer doesn't know my name so they can't request me if they come back. And at my club no one ever tips the waitress during the day, it's not common practice nor do I even know if we can. Anyway, I don't know what do because it interferes with my momney making at times. I am still new I've been working maybe close to 2 months but I'm at a loss for how to handle this. I've tried being nice, acknowledging and appreciating any advice she gives even if she's being downright rude. I don't have an issue with anyone else at work so I really don't think it's just me being me.

Let the manager know on whats going on with the employee, simply due to the fact that they interfering with your income. I'm sure you are not the only one who has complained about her nasty over competitive and snarky bitch attitude.

Are you sure that "no one ever tips the waitress"? Maybe they do and no one has told you.

At my club, girls who tip the bar manager and waitress receive valuable information. They've worked there for years and know the big spending customers. Plus, they get the first peek into their wallets. They also steer dancers to those customers who've run their credit cards for substantial sums. Small scale compared to Las Vegas and NYC hosts who hook up those girls who tip them, but it's the same concept.

Also, just because no one else tips, doesn't mean you can't.

Tipping the waitress really paid off for me (in a non-monetary way) at one club. I was nice to her and tipped, even though the other dancers didn't like her. One day, a drunk customer took my picture while I was on stage. She confronted him, and asked for his phone to delete the photos. Because of her bossy manner, he handed it over and she took them out.

Talk to her boss. You pay to work there, she doesn't. They will value you over her.

The issue here is clear, you're not tipping therefore she isn't fond of you . At my club, we aren't obligated to tip the waitress but I sure do . She directed me to my first high roller & when he spent on me, I gave her a tip from that . & since then she points me to all the guys she knows has money... Several of my clients I have is because of her... She once was so upset & crying in the dressing room because most of the dancers do not tip her .. & as a dancer, I tip everyone generously while I am working in the club or if I go out to dinner or another strip club . Those of us who work on tips should understand & help each other out .

^ She works in my city and I've never worked in a club here where dancers are A) told to tip the waitress or B) expected to by waitresses. I really don't think that's the issue.

Normally the waitress and dancer pair have struck up a friendship ITC and then they team up on CR sales or the waitress will point out dudes with lots of cash. Waitresses aren't the same as like, a host in NYC.

OP talk to the manager. Waitresses in my club would be immediately canned if they did that

I agree with Selina, this doesn't sound like a tipping issue.

I have never tipped waitress, unless some guy just spent 4 hours in champagne and didn't tip her. "

I haven't been at work due to some personal issued but I really will be talking to a manager because it's ridiculous and I do feel very comfortable with my managers, but super uncomfortable in her presence. I would understand attitude from another dancer but from her it's beyond ridiculous.

Sadly, there's some people out there who just decide they don't like you for no reason and I've had it happen to me before too. It sucks and it's not something I've ever understood but it does happen.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions of others even if it's disdain for no reason but NOBODY is entitled to get in the way of you making money or your comfort level at work. If she can't handle herself maturely and put her personal feelings aside then it's definitely something the manager needs to deal with. I hope it's able to be resolved soon. It's bullshit and she sounds extremely petty and immature.

    Ugh, how annoying.

Let management know about what is going on. Consider working at another club where you're valued if this happens again and management doesn't care. The club waittress is only causing problems by preventing a dancer from selling dances/rooms and if management doesn't recognize this then they must be retarded and bringing your club downhill.

Thanks for all the feedback loves.<3 I just love this club a ton for various reasons. One being that we DO NOT pay to work there, if you don't make money. Then you walk out with nothing. You never owe. I'm nervous still being pretty new that if I go somehwere else I'm not experienced and will owe money. Not to mention I'm not very good at doing stages yet and at ny club we don't really do them. We focus on private rooms.

It might not be so much she doesn't particularly like you as she is already friendly with the other girls and looking out for them. At many smallish clubs the girls who work day shift have done so for years and cultivated relationships in that time with staff and customers alike.

@Gia2608 I could understand this 100% because comments have been made regarding wishing the "old" day dancers would be there not all the new girls.

lol that kind of thinking is really illogical on her part. Customers like to see variety and new girls not the same thing every time. So she can either deal with new girls or have a lot of the customers get bored. That probably does explain why she's trying to make your life difficult. Petty as hell.

^^^ I agree. And don't worry, after a few months you won't be the new girl anymore. Maybe you can get on her good side by selling a room on your own and making sure the custy tips her.
