Default Ever been told you are in the wrong businiess by a customer? How di they make you fee

My last customer for the night said the strip industry is not right for me.I asked him why, and he never gave me a response. I wonder does it have something to do with me not wanting that man to suck on my titty, or the way I dance. I been told I should slow down a bit, or I dance like a white girl.

Anyways, he was an asshole and I needed to vent.

Customers are going to say all kinds of shit to you in this industry. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to never, ever internalize it. You are the only one who gets to decide if "you're in the wrong business". His opinion of you is totally irrelevant.

On a side note, I've seen clean girls make just as much money as dirty girls. I've also seen excellent dancers and ladies with absolutely no rhythm, consistently make bank. This definitely isn't a one size fits all industry. Success comes in all shapes and sizes.

I have gotten that from men who want to go further than I will allow. I had one man straight up walk out from the lap dance area before doing a dance, because I wouldn't let him suck my nipples. They feel like in a strip club they are paying and should have all the control. When they realize that isn't the case they have to do something to feel big and powerful again. Making a beautiful woman feel shitty usually does the trick.

Don't let it get to you. Honestly at the end if the day they are just a source of income. Nothing more. Imagine him as a walking wallet or dollar sign. In the club that's all he is.

Many times, but it was always the "you look too sweet to be dancing around like these dirty WHORES, why don't u let me take care of you " *gag* A lot of times that will be their goal, but it's never any of their business. Are you making money? Are you happy w being a dancer? That's all that matters

They're probably trying to get you to go beyond your boundaries just to satisfy them. Dont do it.

Like mentioned above - some of these men will say anything to try to break you. They get off on controlling, manipulating, and downgrading women. They know civilian woman would not tolerate it and probably report them for harassment. And they feel like they can pay to go to a strip club and treat strippers with disrespect because they only see them as objects.

    Don't fall for it.

Just brush it off and ignore as much as possible. Be willing to walk away from a$$holes before they have any opportunity to try and verbally abuse you.

I've been told that before. It happened more when I was a newer dancer, and it's one of those "you're not going to spend any money on me" phrases I've learned to walk away from.

If stripping is paying my bills and I don't hate it...well, by definition, it's the right job for me, isn't it? Stripping doesn't define me as a person. The opinion of some asshole who has nothing better to do than tell me how to live my life CERTAINLY doesn't define me as a person. No one gets to tell me how to live my life. No one gets to tell me what to do. And some asshole who has nothing better to do than psychoanalyze me based on a five minute interaction definitely doesn't get to tell me what to do, like, at all.

tl;dr: fuck 'em, do what you want, get paid.

This is trolling / negging style behavior and you should't play into it. Focus your energy elsewhere unless it's the very last pickings in the club ( and even THEN evaluate whether it will be an emotional drain that could slow you down the next day ). I usually end interactions with customers who nit pick at all. There are just way too many appreciative men out there who are much fun with work with.

That reminds me of the "you must be new" thing they pull when they don't get what they want. When I'd started working at this one club you had to have wrist bands to go in the lap dance area and was told there were no exceptions by management. This guy wanted a dance and got mad when I told him he had to get a lap dance and said he knows everybody so he's allowed to do whatever he wants. I was like well, no exceptions no matter how well you think you know management so if you want a dance you need a lap dance. He condescendingly said "You must be very new at dancing. I can tell you're new" I was like nope, I'm 3 years in, I'm just not going to get in trouble and lose my job because you feel entitled to special privileges. lol

The "you're in this wrong business" thing is usually something similar. It's "I dont' get what I want from this girl so I guess she doesnt' belong here"

    YES. Both of those.

I can remember 2 incidents. The first, the guy was negging (he was obviously a POS pick up artist, he was from LA and a 'writer' and was here fighting DUI charges, which made me laugh). He was trying to knock my ego down to where I was 'attainable'... he told me "Dancing doesn't suit you very well". I laughed and told him "It suits my bank account just fine... that'll be $20 please!" That was the sourest look I've ever seen after a dance

The second, the guy was doing this very serious 'critique' thing to literally every girl in the club, and that they were walking away after he insulted them was apparently making him feel like king of the castle. It was slow, I was bored, so I decided I was going to get money out of him no matter what. Everybody else got told they were too tall, their outfit was weird, etc. He went after my personality, telling me I was "a perfect 10 but had no personality". I would just laugh and smile sweetly and say things like "You think?" "Oh I don't know about that". For someone with no personality he was sure interested in continuing to talk to me Somehow I got a couple dances out of him.

I get "you must be new" like Kara said, when they're not getting the mileage thing they want. I tell them it's the opposite, I'm actually too seasoned, and thus enforce my boundaries better than new girls.

Don't let customers get to you. They are literally trying to get a rise out of you, or else knock your ego down so you'll feel like you have to impress them and give them a 'better' dance or special treatment or to cross your boundaries. If you don't have a funny retort lined up for these scenarios, just roll your eyes and walk away.

don't let it show that it bothers you, that will only serve to make these dudes feel like theyve won. play the stupid/ ditzy cute card like selina mentioned. ask them to elaborate and tell them you just wanna make them ~happyyyyyyyyy and ask them how to do that. be sickly sweet. disarm them. dont feed the douche fire.

Customers like to project their feelings onto us. If a guy isn't enjoying himself, he'll blame the stripper instead of looking inward as to why exactly he is buying dances in the first place. Just ignore the comments. They don't have anything to do with you. If you like what you are doing, and are making good money doing it, just move on to the next guy who does appreciate you.

This is a super duper neg tactic
I can elaborate later but a couple guys I dated tried to pull it on me. Just ignore it. Oddly enough no one says this shit to long haul truckers even though they usually make over $100 k a year....So...moral judgement much? Lol
