I took this month off but I usually work 3 9.5 hour shifts at a club an hour away. (That's the only option for shift length except Friday or Saturday nights which is a 7.5 hour shift)

I usually work 3 shifts per week, that are 5 hours long. Typically I'll work every week unless I'm planning to travel or need the extra cash.

I work about 4 days a week. 8-9 hours but if your new take it easy. Try to 2-3 days a week

Four days a week, but I'm gonna try to do 5. Not bc I have to though, bc I want to try. Eh. Why not? I usually hit my goal on day 2 or 3. I work 6-8 hours a shift.

I'm only working 1 shift a week at 6 hours... I'd like to work more and have been asked to, but I'm still at my 40/week vanilla job. I'm thinking about transitioning to dancing more and just doing part time at my other job, but health insurance is the main reason I'm still there. Otherwise I'm sure I would have been doing this a long time ago.

Have you thought about applying for Obamacare? I just quit my full-time job and was told that qualified me for a special enrollment period... so I was able to sign up for it right away. The plans are pretty affordable, at least in my state, you can get basic coverage for about $100/month.

Thank you for suggesting this. I looked into an estimate and there are some really affordable plans! Wll have to research further before I take the leap. Also, how long did our take you before you decided to dance full time? What kinds of things did yoy have to make sure were set in place before you did that? I just want to have all my ducks in a row.
Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Next couple of weeks I'll be working 6 days a week. After that, it'll depend on my school schedule but I'll prob cut down to 3 days a week with a double on Fridays unless I'm behind on my homework or papers. I like to take at the last couple of weeks of December off and all of January off as well so it's time to stack up that paper.
Adapt and Overcome.
I work 4 days one week then the alternate week Ill only work 3 to give myself a break and my shifts are usually 5 or 6 hours long

I've been dancing on and off for 10 years and have never worked more than 1-3 nights with some exceptions and tbh, I rarely worked 3. Shifts are about 5 hours, six if I actually got there earlier which was rare. When I work though, I WORK. I don't sit, don't go to the dressing room, only a break if I absolutely need it or a quick freshen up. I'm hustling non stop.
On average 4, but lately it's been 5 and I am so tired.
