Default when is it time to quit?

would you quit at a certain age, or just when it stops being fun?would a certain life event change your interest in dancing? how many years is too long to dance? I know these are subjective questions, and that is what I am looking for, your own personal opinions.

When you stop making money, or you can no longer handle the physical work. Ideally, the best time to quit is when you attain your dream goals.

For me, the time to quit is when I settle down into either a relationship I value more than money OR I land a better paying, long-term vanilla job.

My body isn't physically able to dance as often, but that has just changed my focus to other forms of sex work. Until the above events happen, this is my field of choice.

When I'm dead, married to a rich dirty old man on his deathbed or on trial for torturing Michael Vick.

I actually HAVE quit before. It was because I gained some weight and lost my confidence. I Would put off going to auditions because I didn't want to deal with another rejection and when I was working I was slower to approach customers because I automatically thought they would want one of the skinny girls over me.

So basically, when it started effecting my money and work ability I decided I needed to quit or at least take a break.

When I stop making money and stop enjoying it..or when I find a career I like just as much that pays enough to quit.
But it's been five years and aside from a break when I gained some weight, I don't have any desire to quit !

At first I was going to quit when I was 34. Then I turned 34 and changed it to 36. Now I'm 36 and have decided I will quit when I stop making money. I have a vanilla job and am now dancing for extra income so I figure I have nothing to lose since I'm still doing pretty decently. It's really hard to walk away from the money for me because I feel like I do have limited time left because physically it's really hard on my body but I've made adjustments to how I dance but I don't want to end up with destroyed knees when I'm still pretty young.

I retired for good when I realised it was rate to make more than I made in my day job during a shift. That amount is considered a good night but it's not really worth it to me anymore and my day job started to become more important and require me to work longer hours and travel more. The industry changed from when's started and I'm glad to have been dancing when I did.
