    Default Canadian Payoneer Question

Hi I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer. I just switched from check to Payoneer Global Transfer. I'm in Canada but using a US dollar account to receive the money. The fee is 15$ for me. I was under the assumption it would arrive today but still haven't got it. Does any fellow Canadian girl know how long it takes for it to come in? I'm getting a little worried. Thanks

It takes a few business days. So using SM as an example, if you make your minimum processable amount by their cut-off Friday, they will put the money into Payoneer middle of the following week. Then it will take a few days before the money arrives in my US $ account in my Canadian bank.
And there is bank charge as well - depending on your bank.

Payoneer stopped offering global bank transfer. did they return it ?

when they had it before it was $3 to send from payoneer to your bank account - it's sounds like they are sending you a wire which will mean your Canadian bank will take its own fee and payoneer will take $15.

It's a lot chepaer to have the money sit on your payoneer card and you take it at a ATM. Basically if you have $300 on the card you take out about $280 that will cover the transcation fees on the card. and then whatever it left over I generally use it to pay a bill online since online i can pay a bill minimum $5.

I didn't know the fee would be so high when switching. I did it because the check normally arrives on Friday and I thought payoneer would be 2 days earlier than it so I can make rent on time... Now it looks like it takes the same time and charge me a big fee. meh after this I'm switching back to checks

You can still do bank transfers to Canadian banks but only to a US dollar account. I always wondered about what would be cheaper (prepaid cc or wire transfer) considering annual card user fee, withdrawl fee vs transfer fees/exchange rate ripoff between US and CDN account.

This year, it's always been a Wednesday or a Thursday. Just beware if there is a statutory holiday, it may delay payments.

Oh just an update I still haven't got the money in my bank account and payoneer customer service is THE worst, it's worse than SM support. Took them days to reply and if you call or try to chat with the online live support they don't know anything, all they do is telling me the issue will be passed to another apartment and make me wait for a couple more days. For god sake is it over $1000 we are talking about here, my rent and bills rely on it. I'm never gonna use their service ever again for sure after this.

I'm in Canada and went back to using global transfer until they had an entire weeks pay of mine vanish into cyber space. Payoneer blamed it on my bank and my bank blamed it on payoneer and I never got the money. I went back to just getting it loaded on to the card. Too paranoid to do the bank transfer now.

    Hope you get yours soon.

I had Global Transfer at first payoneer screwed up was sending me a wire so I was losing money on the transfer. Then they fixed it to be direct deposit was going well for a year and a while. then now they told me they no longer offer global transfer for $3

So now money loads on the card I take it out in one lump sum. I use the card when I travel in the USA for booking shuttles and my internet business training courses.

So overall I am very selective of what I purchase with the card mostly us currency shopping on selective websites for my internet marketing business and then majority I withdrawal as much as possible. and leave just enough for monthly fee card maintenance.

If your desperate for the money quickly you could sign up with Boleyn Models and get paid everyday.

Also your probably gonna get charged another $15 by your bank when the money arrives for the transfer. Its way better to just leave the money on the Card and withdraw it in one lump sum from an ATM.

Call your landlord and ask if you can move your payment date up from the 1st of the month to like the 7th. I have always done this, I currently have my rent payable on the 12th of every month. Im not pay cheque to pay cheque so I could pay the 1st no problem but its been like that since I was pay cheque to pay cheque and its nice to have a bit of extra time.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think after that I'm just gonna use checks... I don't trust payoneer anymore lol.
Luckily my bf got paid on 1st so we made rent but other bills and credit card payments....ugh. Anyway it is what it is. I've accepted it's Mercury Retrograde bad things will happen!
