The time has come for me to get on the whitelabel train.
When I was first making my expansion plans earlier this summer, I was sure I'd go with SM, because it's where my freechat home is. I've never streamed on CB, so I can't capitalise on a profile there, even the kind of low-key part-time profile I've got with SM.
But glitches on SM have been completely out of hand, and it seems like a bad decision to put my efforts into producing traffic that hits the destination site and can't spend money.
Queens of whitelabels, what do you reckon? Is camming and having a presence on a site you're promoting a crucial part of your process? What kind of ratio of purchases vs clicks are you getting on SM - can you at least get 1:1000, or is it worse than that?
Any experiences with customer service on either SM or CB whitelabel side you can tell me about? Any other considerations you feel like sharing?
Slothie xx
ETA I should add that I have a lot of experience with affilliate work, but it's all from mid-2000s (pre-Twitter, from the era when blogs ruled the earth) and is therefore a bit rusty. But it's there. So my expectations are pretty realistic.

Once you get a good base of clients built up (can take years), your affiliate income will far exceed your cammodel income. As for customer service, the only thing I know is that (despite the rumors) SM has been meticulously honest with their accounting in our relationship with them in the last 3-4 years. There was a time quite a few years back when they were getting a lot of fraud on their failed "pay per signup" scheme, so they delayed payments for a few months to straighten it out, but by and large they haven't ripped off any honest affiliates.
