    Default moving abroad

So with everything going on right now with family et i am really considering moving abroad. Am a brit in britain but now i want to stretch my horizans. Thinking somewhere in latin america, canada or portugal. I would prefer somewhere that has a low cost of living, doesnt tax on foreign income and i can move my pets with me (this one is a must, no acceptions!) Thoughts on places and if you could live anywhere where would it be? X
I deserve the life i want. To be adored by men, treated like a princess and to be indulged. I deserve nothing but a life of luxury.

well, I'm subscribed online to: internationalliving.com..they have a daily newletter, site, etc. Check it out.
There was a member on here (Melonie) who was frm USA but moved to a lux gated community in Mexico, for a very low price.
I think offhand, it does mention central america a fair amount, but also other countries

I can answer pretty extensive questions about Costa Rica and Thailand ( and point to some websites for both via PM ).
You can bring the pets to both for example.
I love the thread. I'm pretty obsessed with living in a lower cost country for awhile too so I know what you mean.
From the list of the 3 places you had, Canada is the most expensive ( I think, unless maybe we have some Canadians here who can point to low cost areas ?).
Of Latin America, Costa Rica is up there in costs but still affordable . Get even more off the beaten path and it gets even more affordable.
I'm thinking of going back to Thailand , Bali, or to Portugal for Nov.!

I want to retire to Costa Rica and I have never been there!

Colombia is awesome and cheap; you can teach English there part-time and make pretty decent money and then cam or whatever you do online. I lived in Toronto and it is very expensive but it is an awesome city, like a cleaner New York city where you are very unlikely to be the victim of a crime. Lol. I have never been to Portugal but have a lot of friends who have and they have very good things to say about it.

Here's a list of the top 19 countries for expats to live, based on a survey of 14,000 people.
