Default Almost busted at a Miami hotel

So I went to this hotel in Miami to see a client. Did my job and left. When going down to the lobby I saw it was full of men so I thought it would be a good opportunity to meet clients.

So I guess after spending some time at the lobby the security officers understood what I was up for and started investigating me.

I had a feeling something was going on just by the way they were watching any single move I made but being stupid and greedy I didn't follow my gut and continued looking for clients. In my head I was thinking I'm not gona come back here anyway so let me just do what I gotta do and Get outta here.

So the place was full of men. I spoke to some guys and just before leaving the hotel some guy came and offered me to go to his room for some fun. I didn't tell him I was working i waited to get to the room first.

When we went to the lift I saw those securities following us but ( stupid me didn't follow my gut) I just thought maybe they had some work to do..anyway I go to the room with the client who didn't know I was a working girl explained him the situation and he agrees to go and get some cash for the encounter. As we go down to the lobby he goes to the atm and I told him I'd wait by the lift ( to not expose myself) going with a client to the atm is very obvious! Anyway while he's at the atm getting cash and I'm waiting by myself security comes and pulls me to the side tells me to go with them to speak to the manager and I was like what's happening ? What's going on? Security: you know what's going on, you've been behaving inappropriate in out property.

then we go to the security office and there is police men there waiting damn I was about to shit myself in my panties so what they did is take a pic of me And a copy of my ID and ban me from future entrance of their property!

Now I'm wondering are they legally allowed to just take me to their office room and copy my ID and take a pic of me?

I mean I didn't hurt anyone and I never mentioned anything about sex in exchange for money to the client so basically even if they tried to arrest me they had no proof of an official prostitution act! But since I'm a non US citizen and panicked I would get arrested and probably deported I simply followed their instructions and rules so I don't get in any trouble.

they said this was just a warning and a record for them and will probably be deleted in a few months.
i would appreciate your help ladies is this legally allowed to copy people's passports based on assumptions?? They have no proof! And could I have just walked out of the hotel or was I forced to go to the office ? I'm really annoyed my real name and my real pics and recent pic or mugshot.

Who knows. Maybe they have some authority to get data on people who look out of place or suspicious. In heavily guarded areas, they take identifying data of everyone regardless if you look suspect or not.

You could have asked for a lawyer before doing anything you felt was infringing on your rights. Maybe you should at least brush up on the laws there or consult with a lawyer who is open to discussing adult oriented laws.

Who knows what kind of "proof" they have. If you want answers the only thing you can do is hire a lawyer.

They probably think you're too spooked to hire a lawyer or do anything for that matter, which is why they are acting like they are above the law.

You did not do your job and leave, Angi. You should have left but you didn't. You decided to stay and freestyle and that's why you were nabbed. They do have proof. Their proof is that you had HO written all over you because you were walking around looking thirsty as hell at their hotel. These guys are trained to look for soliciters.

When a man puts money in your hand for the hour, he's also buying discretion. Discretion means respecting him enough to not attract attention to yourself. In this situation, it means take your shenanigans some place else. If you want to freestyle, don't do it at the same hotel you did an outcall. Hell even consider leaving the city because Miami is hooker city. It's the city where non-heauxs are suspected of being hookers. Not to mention, what if you went up stairs with some dude and got yourself killed. There are ways to freestyle and screen. You have to be smart and savvy not money hungry and greedy because that's how you'll get yourself arrested or killed.

Oh and if you are a non-citizen and get arrested for prostitution in the United States, forget it. You can be banned from ever coming to the US again. Better get a bad ass lawyer on retainer.

I wouldn't risk doing this in the USA honestly there are so many other places where it is legal and no one would care what you were doing there. You dodged a huge bullet so be happy for that!! Just take it as a lesson learned and never go near that hotel again.

    1. I don't think they have any proof that you broke the law in this case. That's why they let you go freely after. You should ask the police men why you were being detained. "inappropriate" in what way? I am just here looking for an ONS.
    2. About taking photo and your ID...they shouldn't have done that. If they just want a picture of you, they should have it in surveillance camera.

I really suggest you talking to an attorney and get familiar to your rights in this situation. Girls in this business usually don't do that. They don't have the knowledge and legal support. I understand that. I was like that in the earlier years.

PS. People work at hotel have a lot of experience about working girls. So if you went up stairs and 30 minutes later you came down to the lobby to hang out with men. And you are not even a guest of the hotel. They probably knew what you up to. You need to cover your tracks better than that.
I like being alone, I just don't like being lonely.

^^^^thAts what it sounds like to me.

Either your client #1 slick reported you because he discovered you hanging out there, wanted you to leave because you were being less than discreet or you just looked suspicious hanging out there among a group of men (especially with potential client #2 making atm run) being less than discreet.

If you don't know your rights, you don't know the laws, AND you're a sexworker people with "authority" (even people without authority like psychos) will take advantage to get you to do what THEY want you to do - which in this case was fork over your identifying info so they could have leverage to 1) make you spooked and comply with their demands 2) keep you from coming back "working" at their establishment 3) effectively report you to authorities next time 4) share your data with other surrounding hotels as a possible working girl

People always tell me to domme freestyle, but doing that in a hotel is one of the dumbest ideas anyone can do. You know hotels have security teams who probably aren't walking around wearing a uniform...

In Florida, hotel security may detain you if you are engaged in disorderly conduct that threatens the life and safety of others, provided that they immediately contact the police and have an officer present as soon as possible. Under Florida statutes, you were definitely engaged in disorderly conduct. Whether you were threatening the safety of anyone is highly questionable, but I am sure that they would argue that you could have been scoping out targets for potential robbery. In any event, I am sure that they weren't worried about an escort hiring a lawyer and suing them for stretching a legal nuance.

But now that they have issued a formal trespass warning, you can be arrested if you step foot in that hotel again. Florida is about the toughest state in the country re: trespassing laws, due in no small part to the need of Disney and other family tourist attractions to be able to keep predators and other undesirables out of their properties. So if I were you I would avoid that hotel in the future as well as any other property managed by the same company. Most hotels are actually franchises managed by a local property group, so you may want to do a little research to find out which properties are owned by the same group and to avoid them. Some of this information may already be on whatever warning document that they issued to you.

    Good luck!

I had a bad experience in Bloomington Minnesota (home of the Mall of America) because it's a known hotspot for underage trafficking. & Yes service workers & security get seminars/email forwards regarding what to look for in terms of "suspicious activity". It sucks but it's the reality of the social media age...what used to be down low is now Facebook meme joke material. My advice... always dress business casual or better & carry an IPad (or folder etc.) Pay with a credit card or bank card. Act offended when service workers assume you are a working girl. Lol.

Btw another cover tactic is to meet your appointment at a nearby bar or restaurant & walk to his room together. Most hotels are very reluctant to get on a customer for his social life & private habits. (Double standards.)

On a positive note I noticed Hilton Hotels seem to go out of their way to respect guest privacy & the service workers there treated me well. Just a shout out. Not all hotel chains have policies like Marriott.

I know a few mo ago, I was downtown visiting someone, & decided to visit a hotel bar based on my hairdresser's rec.
Well, I was in the elevator w/a couple, the girl was acting rude towards me, later I saw her/him being asked to leave, the bouncer (or sec.) specifically said, "she's spilling her drink, so she's not sober enough to be here"
I walked around (they had more than 1 bar) really I was trying to get a drink, it was so busy I couldn't, but I noticed I was watched. I didn't stay long, maybe a total of 15 min or so for all the bars.
Later outside, I was waiting for my cab (@ that time I used a prev cab driver, he drives his own car on days off, not an Uber)
A bum started bothering me for $, in a few seconds several employees materialized & got him away. Then, one of them struck up a convo w/me, asking me if I was waiting for a cab..
I explained to him I have a private driver, he said, "Oh, an Uber" I said no, a driver on his day off. I could tell he was trying to scope me out convo-wise, but he was actually very cool, I'd told him I'd heard about their bar(s) & just wanted to check it out, he told me about a nearby place.
I was dressed nicely, cute black sundress, & carrying 2 black bags..actually a couple people hit me up for $ that day, not unusual but they go a lot for nicer dressed people.
So, yea, saying all this cause there's a lot of shit going down @ hotels, they do watch people, I found out one I stayed had a alleged murder/robbery.
& agree w/everyone, you gotta know your stuff & have legal backup.

The weirdest "security being nosy" experience I had was at a bar in Jackson Hole Wyoming
..... thank God I wasn't working. The bouncer just thought it was weird that I was alone. (Btw the law is super strict in Jackson Hole..be warned.)

i've gotten suspicious looks too for being alone, or even with a friend and we happened to be carefree, simply having a good time.

I do not think that hotel security has the right to demand to see your ID but the police that were there sure do. Also, they were trying to get record of who you actually were so they could ban you. I would not think security footage would be adequate enough as someone who looked like you could, in theory be thrown out or arrested and sue the hotel.

That's just it though - he didn't need to set her up. She singlehandedly drew attention to herself.
If you are an attractive single female walking into any hotel in this country, you automatically raise flags.

Till this day when I tour, i dress conservatively, wear a wedding ring and ask the front desk to give me an extra key for "my husband". I'm not married but anything to take their eyes of me. I even refer to "my husband" several times during my stay. Never been stopped by security. Never been arrested.

When doing an outcall all you have to do is leave after you appointment. Simple. She dodged a bullet. Better hotel security than VICE.

Hotel security has every right to demand ID. They are security. That's what they do. In some smaller boutique hotels, you have to show your ID before being let upstairs even. It's not something new. Angie wasn't targeted. She didn't walk into a sting. What happened was they suspected her of being a heaux from the minute she walked in and her actions confirmed it.

a thought just came to my mind since I live here too: I guess freestyling is not a good idea down here? I know OP was probably a liiiittle obvious, but in general I like to be extra cautious.

Hotels regularly work with local cops, etc .... it's not that they hate us, it's that they don't want to get a reputation for having a lobby bar full of escorts - then they get drama from the cops, bad reviews online from various customers who witnessed it and didn't like it ... and also all the potential drama that goes with it.

it's private property and you were in their bar, so yep they can def take your ID and copy it, and if they're assholes like some places up North they will then email it out to other hotels which can lead to excess drama.

So, I guess hotel bar freestyling's out of the question then?

To piggyback off this and fbsmgirl's comment (re: attractive, single female walking into a hotel).....

What about high end restaurants too? Not escorting, just looking for rich guys to date. Lol. I'm afraid walking in places like this 1) alone 2) black 3) young 4) dressed expensively is going to have everyone in the room thinking I'm a whore when really I just want a nice meal while chatting it up with the city's finest.

How do we avoid this assumption? Tips? Stories?? I'm sure it'll also apply to girls looking to stay off the radar while looking for dates.

I'm also only willing to dress business casual to a degree. My body is my $ maker. I'm thinking a young, professional look. Like I'm headed to happy hour after work and just changed into high heels...

I wd think this ^ wd work? I mean, lol woman do go to bars, just be careful & know you'll be observed..
If you scroll up a bit, I was talking about checking out some hotel bars (multiple bars in same hotel) When I was outside waiting for my private cab, I drew some attention/?'s..but once they saw I was cool they were cool w/me.

Please don't get me wrong. I never said not to freestyle at hotels. I said don't freestyle at the same hotel you did an outcall too. It's not discreet and it's disrespectful. That man you met could be meeting colleagues after his "meeting" with you. You don't know what else is going on at that hotel. it's just not wise. Pick some other place. Hotel, steakhouse..etc

I think freestyling is BRILLIANT when done right. It's not how I make my money primarily but I admire women who are able to do it and pull it off consistently and successfully. What I don't get is women that go to these hotels, talk to guy for a few minutes and few safe enough to go up to his room right then. If you can do it and not end up in a body bag, awesome. For me, it's a reckless way to live. A sensible person would conduct herself like a lady, ask for a business card, ask him what he's up to later (if you're hot enough he's going to want to meet), exchange information and set up a meeting before he skips town. This way you can screen him and access compatibility before meeting in private.

I lol'd @ "dress expensively" because you don't NEED to dress expensively. You need to dress conservatively but look HOT. Men don't care about designers and expensive shit. No man is gonna say "is that H&M? i'm not interested". The pretentious designer crap was invented by "highend" escorts that need to validate themselves with materialistic bullshit. If you want to spend thousands on designers, by all means, do it but you don't need it to freestyle. Dress nice, do your makeup, take care of your vagina and the hooker gods will smile down on you.

    Oh and save your money.

Yea, I was reading that, say if you go to a bar, let's say located in a nice hotel or steakhouse, order an appetizer w/your drink. Some places have happy hours too, (around 4 - 6pm weekdays) they serve free appetizers as long as you order a drink.
