Default Dancing 20 minutes from home?

I am new to this city (charlotte)and there is a club that I'm really interested in working but it's only 20 minutes from my home. I have an audition for a club that is 2 1/2 hours away, I don't mind the drive bc I feel it will be worth it but I am also wanting something close to home.

The bad thing is I'm a waitress in this town and I love going out...my fear is a custy recognising me while working my vanilla job or being out and seeing men whom I've given lap dances to.

I just can't imagine having to drive 2 hours whenver i want to make money..do any of you ladies travel that far for work?

Are you in Charlotte NC? It's a big enough city that you *SHOULD* be fine. I worked in a much smaller city for 3+ years and never really had a problem. But if you are in NC check out the men's club! It's a great money making club!

How old are you? If you are dancing in your home town, and you are college aged (especially under 25), assume you will run into friends from high school and elementary school, and possibly their parents or your parents' friends.

I live in a *much* bigger city. and have run into customers at the grocery store and restaurants. I rarely go to bars or clubs, so I don't see them there.

A 2.5 hour commute is a nightmare and you will likely burn out doing that more than once a week. If you can drive up Friday and work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and drive home late after your Sunday shift you will maximize your profit and minimize your drive time.

I recommend a very different "day look" from your "stripper look," and possibly a wig if you are concerned about being recognized.

Luckily I'm not from this town I know no one here but I am still concerned about running into people while out and about. That sounds like a good plan driving out staying a few days and then driving back.. all of the clubs an hour or so away are like dive bars unfortunately.

Don't write off the dive bars! I worked at one that was being run into the ground by a coke head manager and it was my highest nightly average of all the clubs I've ever worked.

If there is no consideration about getting a license for each club, try them all. Give it a few weeks, working as many different shifts as you can.

I found the people at Uptown kind of rude but the people at Men's club are kind of uptight lol. I can't say enough about the night time potential at Men's Club. But it's been a couple years since I've been to uptown. It might be completely different now. Good luck wherever you go!!

Also, you don't need any licenses so I agree with SoRich.. Try them all they are owned by different companies so there isn't much worry about cross over.

Yeah you're right! A few people have told me to stay away from dive bars but you never know. I'll definitely be more open minded now and go to different clubs and see how I do.

So lala can you please tell me your average working in Charlotte? Is this a $300, $500 or $700/night town? I know it all depends but I'd love to have some number to go on, I haven't met any dancers in Charlotte.

For me the The men's club was generally a 500-800$ place. I would definitely avoid day shift there though! They have a buffet and guys just come in to eat a lot of times. But on Night Shift I've had guys tip $100 bills on stage. Not super often but they do tip more than $1. And the dressing room is large. It's nice.
