    Default Work phone

Does anyone have a separate work phone purely for Camming? Thinking of a way round having to have two accounts for social media etc and I can switch off the work phone when I am not working but people can still get hold of me on my personal phone? Thoughts on this?

Not sure what to tell you there. I use my personal phone for sm , but I have no voicemail message. I have had calls get through to my voicemail when I was siting right there waiting for the phone to ring and my ringer was on. Like a glitch. So don't leave- Hey bb this is ( insert real name here or phone number) or they would have had it.

I used to have a separate phone for work, until I lent the handset to a friend in need and she lost it. *fume* So technically I have a separate sim card, saving up for a new nicer work phone.

It's an important piece of work kit, I think, well worth shelling out for if your cash flow allows it. It's a back-up camera, a marketing device, and if you have paid social media channels, it also brings in income. It's useful as an extra wall for your privacy, if you don't put any of your personal account information on there. Annnnnd it's a tax write-off.

My personal phone is a 4-year-old sardine tin, tbh, and I'm fairly happy for it to stay that way. But a work phone needs to *work*, so as soon as my finances allow, I'm replacing the lost one with something that does all the jobs I need it to do.

I'd suggest buying a cheap android phone from like Family Wireless or whatever those prepaid companies are, and using Google Voice. Set up a separate gmail account and voila! I did that for PSO and also for contacting craigslist sellers when I was car shopping and I have no complaints.

For your Galaxy s7, check out the app Samsung My Knox. It basically allows you to have a locked section of your phone that doesn't communicate with the rest of your phone. So you can put all your personal stuff on the regular home screen, and all your work apps in the locked section, and the two groups don't communicate unless you're manually sending an item from one section to the other. It was supposedly created for people who want to have their work phone functionality on their personal phone without contacts and emails mingling, and it's also been suggested as a good feature for parents who want to be able to let their kids play with their phone without having them stumble on something. I have a feeling it's mostly used to hide people's cheating and/or porn consumption, though.

I recently got the Galaxy Note 7, and the Secure Folder is a native feature on it. It's what sold me on the phone. The My Knox app for the s7 and s7 Edge is almost exactly the same, aside from some cosmetic differences. If you want more info about it, I'd look up "Galaxy Note7 Secure Folder" first, because it's mostly been reviewed as a function of the Note.

If you get a Sideline number and put it in your locked section, you can even run two phone numbers from your phone (your phone carrier will know that you're using two numbers, because Sideline calls go through your real phone line, but it's not like they know what you're doing with the second line). Alternatively, if you're willing to sacrifice a little call quality, you can just put a voip number (like google phone or a skype number) in your locked section, and then it wouldn't need to communicate with your real phone line at all.

So far, I think this only applies the Samsung series 7 phones, but I imagine that there will be a tremendous demand for similar features on other phones once people realize how it works.
