Hi Ladies I need your advice,
I like my club, the management are reasonable, scheduling is flexible(important b/c I go to school), and money is pretty good. The owner is an 87 year old greek man who drinks and smokes like a fiend in the club even though smoking has been outlawed for like 10 years here. When he stops by the club almost every night he unfailingly tells the DJ: I can't hear the music, turn it up. Because he's deaf....![]()
He is unwilling to face these facts even though the number one complaint about the club on Yelp is it's too loud!
I have brought it up several times and even got one manager to agree with me and bring it up to the owner and now he doesn't work there anymore! Obviously, my complaints are going nowhere.
This weekend I wore earplugs for the first time and it was fine. I have long hair so the customers didn't notice and the music is so loud its not odd for me to ask them to speak up. My question is, should I bring this up to some type of labour board? Or do you think that will only get me in trouble and I should just wear my earplugs and do me....?
Thanks for any advice!
