    Duh Bowing out Gracefully

After two years and entirely too much bullshit, I've decided to call it quits. It is not worth the risk to me anymore. I've had two close run-ins with weirdos that freaked me the fuck out within a month. I may not be so lucky the next time... They say that the third time is a charm.

I've received dozens of PMs from new girls asking me how I make money on Craigslist and it occurred to me that I needed to retract something I've been preaching.

I posted (recently) about how great CL is and I seriously regret doing it now. For my location, CL was (what I thought) my best option. The money came almost too easily which blinded me to how dangerous the site really is. I'm not boring you with the details, but pleasepleaseplease...

so glad you're okay! I would rather advertise on bp before craigslist.

^BP had it's share of society rejects but craigslist is a no. Although, worth it for some depending on the local market. Humbled by my last experience on that site.

I've used CL and had great results starting out. But you have to sort through a lot of BS to find a Gem and it burns me out quickly. I'm happy to report I've never had any problems. I'm sorry to hear you've had some scary situations. If you feel up to it, please do Bore us with the details so we can learn. Sorry to see you go, but I completely understand. *Hugs*

Honestly I'm surprised that anyone would want to post on Bp now unless they have no other options seeing that the CEO just got busted.

It's an election year, they needed their witch to parade around the town square.
Like I've said if anything comes out of the CEO's arrest within the next six months to a year, I'll be very surprised.
I truly believe that backpage isn't going anywhere for awhile.
So yeah, it's business as usual. I've been posting on backpage with absolutely no issues.
Hell I'd advertise on craigslist if I needed the extra business. At the end of the day,
it comes down to screening. There are psychos and creeps everywhere.

I agree, as long as you screen the fuck out of anyone on bp you should be fine. If you live in a small city or town, sometimes bp is worth the hassle. But it shouldn't be your main source of advertising by any means.

I'm sorry to hear you had some bad experiences with CL. I hope you're okay! I've also had very good luck on CL. Although weeding through the timewasters is tiring, but I've gotten some whales and gems. But, no matter where you're advertising screening is essential.
