    Default HELP a newbie !

I am 21, and would like to get into the stripping Industry , I live in NJ so I don't mind traveling to NY or PA. I just really don't know how to go about things... I pretty much know the flattering things too wear and things like that but u just don't know where to start about getting hired at a club. I have to start dancing because I am having issues with my current job. How do I get my foot in the door ? Auditions ? Make calls? I really don't know where to start out . Please ladies help me !

There are several ways of getting into this, I recommend to show up as a customer to see the ambience, have first-hand input from other girls, know staff and be informed about fees and rules. By that moment it would be obvious you would be interested in auditioning. There is also the "jump-into-the-water" approach, but it may be way too uncomfortable for a total newbie. Sometimes amateur nights are useful for this purpose.

When I was new I went around to the clubs in my area and got a feel for them. I would rather you talk to the doorman or manager about how to get a job there. Don't ask the dancers. They may resent you for taking up their time at work and may give you misinformation you on purpose, just to be bitches. If you DO talk with a dancer, keep the conversation short (5-10 min) and tip her 10-20 bucks for her time. Go during the day so that folks at the club will have more time for your questions. Keep the visit brief so that you don't become a pain in the ass, and don't drink while you are there.

Go in, observe, ask questions, then leave.

Everyone is different and I am not saying you follow what I did exactly but it worked for me. I started dancing when I was 20. I had never been in a strip club in my life- but I was working 2 jobs while going to school. I was in debt really bad (living off credit cards to pay regular bills). I went to a financial planner and he told me that I had to make more money. He recommended I pick up more shifts. One job was a moderately priced restaurant and the other was a cocktail waitress as a night club; which was only open a few days a week so this was not possible. I was also really stressed and having anxiety issues (not the place for this but I will talk about this with anyone who needs advice on this as well).

My BF and roommate at the time suggested I try dancing as I had a breast aug already and was in shape and tan for the cocktail waitress job. I went to the smallest hole in the wall place one state over from me. I was so scared the first time I just drove to the building and scoped it out. Then, I went back a few days later to talk to the manager about "applying" he explained the audition process and told me when to come back ( I also had to bring my own music as they did not have a DJ). I stayed and had one drink.

Then I went shopping. I bought two dresses and had some clear Lucite heels (they were like 3 inches high; lol) from a prom. I went back and auditioned. I completely froze on stage but one of the waitresses came up ad showed me what to do. I was hired and stayed the rest of the shift; dancing on stage and did a table dance; maybe 2. I think I left with 40 something bucks. Anyway; I eventually got the hang of it- I worked there for about 2-3 months until I felt more comfortable and then I moved to a bigger club that was about 30 mins away.

As far as clothes- make sure you get proper stripper shoes. Try 5 or 6 inches at first; but I would eventually opt for 7 unless you are very tall. I would think one pretty dress and a nicer bra and panty set as well as 2-3 proper dancer thongs are all you need to start. Do not get anything more than that until you are sure you like it. BUT, call ahead when you decide what club you want to start at as some require you to have a gown.

Next, read hustle hut like it is your bible- don't try and make friends with the other dancers and don't tell the customers you are new. They will know anyway but don't appear to be naive so they don't try to hustle you. Good luck!
