For what it's worth, it's true that none of our sites accept American Express, so at least that bit was for real. But there are shitloads of non-porn places that don't take Amex, so if that's the dude's only credit card, he's SOL when it comes to paying for many things.

OP, I realize that you can see where you made some errors here, and that happens to the best of us, but I want to add that you should NEVER let customers push you into payment methods that you haven't vetted and approved. If they can't/won't pay using the methods you offer, they can go suck their own dick.

Secondly, I know that it seems tempting to let people pay with Amazon gift cards or merchandise. After all, getting a GC or stuff is better than getting nothing from a potential customer, right? But just remember that there is nothing stopping a MINOR from buying you shit from Amazon. As far as I know, all of our cam sites and indy processors will flag and prevent payments from cards that are owned by minors. If a 17 year old wants to buy you an Amazon GC as a gift, that's a little creepy, but not really something you need to worry about too much. If he's using Amazon to pay for your services, and you do an explicit performance for a kid, that's a problem for you.

Other reasons that people like to pay with Amazon are pretty suspect, too.
    • He could have been blacklisted from a bunch of cam sites for doing chargebacks.
    • He could have a SO or parent that will lose their shit when they see how much he spent on porn (you), and will call the CC company claiming fraud, because dude immediately pulls the "wasn't me, card must be stolen" routine. (This has happened to me personally, but thankfully it was on LCMS and LH fought it and won.) If they do the same thing with an Amazon GC, Amazon can follow the money and see where the goods went, and they'll probably cooperate and provide your info for the fraud investigation.
    • Maybe he stole the credit card from an 87 year old lady, and knows that he'll get caught pretty quickly if he tries to use it on a cam site, whereas Amazon probably won't question it.
    • Some guys simply know dozens of ways to get your info and/or free shows from you if they can convince you to take Amazon for payment.

So yeah, just be careful and suspicious. If you have a reg that you've known awhile and who has bought shows on cam sites before, at least you know that he's likely an adult and not prone to fraud or chargebacks (although he may still be trying to scam you). But if some dude that you've never met before wants to pay with Amazon, it should be considered a serious risk.

Can you buy 'Bear Mace' in the UK? That is what we do about the not being allowed to buy mace thing in Canada but I must admit that I am completely unsure if the UK has a bear problem. LOL!

Go for the eyes, use both thumbs and push them really hard into his eye sockets and blind him. Most men think you'll kick them in the nuts. If you can't reach his eyes punch him in the Adam's apple. That might actually kill him. Also, get a medium to larger size dog or even a large breed cat. My cat is more protective of me than my dogs and in a bad situation I'm sure my cat would go for the femoral artery of anyone who dares enter our property.

Wow, Hyori! Your cat sounds seriously bad ass.
I am jealous! I have loved all my kitties but they would have just looked on in bewilderment should I be attacked.

What breed is he, if you don't mind me asking?

I adore cats, but sadly I seem to be allergic to some breeds - moggies and often short haired breeds.

Assuming bear mace is for bears then no lol. We are not allowed to carry any kind of weapon here, people get stopped and searched frequently (well not nice white women like me but that's another conversation for another time) you have to be over 18 to buy knives and you would get in trouble potentially if carrying a kitchen knife once it's out of its packaging. Some types of knives are illegal altogether. We can carry a rape alarm or every day things like hair spray and keys etc but no weapons.

as for wild animals we don't really have anything dangerous. If you are conservative then foxes are an issue lol but we don't mace those, 'we' put on stupid red coats, ride horses and get dogs to rip them apart because it's our 'culture' and they are 'vermin'

ueah ive woken up in this mood :p

The thing that worries me most is he gave his Amazon details to make the purchase. I made a note of his address and name. (Or what I thought was his name/address) I checked on Google and it's definitely not the guy he's claiming to be on Skype and on social. That's why I'm worried all this could be some sort of Fraud? I spoke to him once, he was very cagey about showing his face or even telling me anything about himself. But he sounded Australian, but again wouldn't even confirm that. He was just abusing me and threatening and being very manipulative. I couldn't be bothered in the end, so told him to cancel the order and then blocked him.
I tell you what he was PROBABLY trying to do - he was going to order the laptop (as he did), show you he's ordered it, get you to do the Skype show, then cancel the purchase. A classic cam scam. He gets a free show and you get fuck all. This is why he was cagey and gave you incorrect details. I bet you he's done this 100s of times, and you are the first (or one of the only) person to catch him out/cancel, hence why he's resorted to threats, so that you are too scared to take it further.

If he makes physical threats, I would go contact the police. Also if a guy finds you on CMD, only accept payments through CMD. He was probably on the crooked client list. Don't do shows for items or gifts. If they can't make payment for whatever reason, you say okay then no thank you.

I always find strange how different the UK and Canada is in a lot of ways...but then it ends up being similar in a lot of ways as well.

This can create a dangerous position down the road by keeping any further contact connected. (Not trying to scare you) Even if getting a reaction out of you failed, this information is still at large risk..keep in mind the reality of what could happen. I've seen pages filled with model ID/real first and last names, addresses, phone numbers, relative connections posted by trolls/scammers that enjoy selling what little privacy mods have. If they do have a way of communicating, it may be difficult further ignoring the jabs they may take to continue getting a rise from you.

Haha no we don't have bears in the Uk - Mace/CS gas is definitely classified as a section 5 fire arm in the UK - Is in the same class as a Sawn off shot gun - We're not allowed to protect ourselves in the UK x

I kept thinking that Cat - and trusted my instincts and didn't do any show for him. He totally backed down when I started giving it back and I told him the police were involved (There not, but wanted him to think that) ..I've managed to find out a lot of info about him. I googled his name and address and bloody hell, what a Fat Fu**! I feel sorry for his poor wife!

I have a lot of info on his guy. Way more than he has on me, which is something. I've googled the name and address. Found a lot of info. Very sad person...it's amazing what you can find out about someone in a couple of hours. I wonder what his wife would think?! I won't bother to do anything, but at least I know I have a lot of shit on him.

Well done Foxirox Do you feel a little better about it now?

What you've done is you've took back control of the situation. Yesterday HE was in control & now today YOU are.

No - one has any control over you unless you allow them too.

Did you find out if he was in the UK then?

You did the right thing telling him you've changed your mind. I was starting to think last night that maybe he was using a stolen card like you thought.
