Hi, I dance in Atlanta and we don't do that "no permit" mess down here. No offense to places that don't require a permit, but if you're looking to dance without registering with the City of Atlanta first, no legit (or safe for that matter) club will let you work for them. Not only do you need a permit, but you have to pass a background check, and you'll be fingerprinted. The database is confidential, but if you get wrapped up in doing "extras" at the club you work at, it'll be easy to find you and arrest you for prostitution (if you're reported/get caught). If you plan on working at multiple clubs in Atlanta, you need a permit for each club. I believe Dekalb county will allow you to have a traveling permit (meaning one permit regardless of how many clubs you work at), but you'd have to call their office to make sure. (Dekalb is like the suburban part of Atlanta; some reference it as the Eastside.) If you still want to dance in Atlanta (or Dekalb), let me say that you won't make any money at "hood clubs" unless there is a big event or convention for that demographic, a holiday, a celebrity comes through (and they pick you to dance for them), white people show up, you do "extras," or if the club just happens to have a good weekend. Besides that, most of the regulars that come to "hood clubs" don't spend any money; they just come to watch other people get dances and look at the girls for free. The regular that does spend money will spend it on his favorite, but not often. Only when he feels like it, from what I've seen. Plus, some of the regulars that come by are only trying to solicit girls for "extras." Yes, they literally come up there looking for sex and won't pay for anything less than that. Needless to say, you won't make tip out on a regular day, and you HAVE to give the club a percentage of your earnings for every shift you work. They won't let you check out until you do. Besides that, "hood clubs" don't enforce the rules; they'll tell you the rules, but every last one of them WILL be broken by both dancers and customers, and management will look the other way. As you can imagine, that's not really a safe bet for dancers. Anything can happen to you. I would suggest that you try Cheetah or Pink Pony. That's where the real money is, and they're the safest places to work, but if you're looking for a "hood club" experience (because face it, hood clubs are more entertaining), try Onyx or Magic City. Out of all the "hood clubs," those two bring in the most patrons and cash. I don't know anything about Houston.

P.S. I say "hood club" in quotes because that's what everybody calls the black clubs down here. I think it's kind of racist, especially since I'm black, but there is a clear diffference between clubs that cater to black people, and clubs that cater to white people.

    Good luck.
