Default bit of loose skin after weight loss.

To anybody who lost a good amt of weight...
Lost 45-50 pounds very fast. I was rly skinny my whole life, started taking this med and gained wicked quick, but now I'm back down to original weight..everything is back to normal except the skin on my upper thighs. It's not the stretch marks I'm pissed about, it's the bit of wobbly skin that makes my thighs look bigger than they are still..it's not like loose skin that you can grab like a deflated balloon, I was never obese but it's annoying..
Its only been three or four months so how long does it usually take to get back to normal?? I don't smoke or drink, I eat good protein, keep hydrated, and moisturizer the area every night..
weights? I do mostly cardio everyday.

IDK but I noticed some loose skin recently on my stomach I've lost a total of 38 lbs but 20lbs of it was over a very long period of time. I am only just now seeing loose skin develop on my abdomen I think it's because I have lost a lot of muscle, I am hoping gaining it back will tighten the area up but I am having a hard time right now the thought of gaining weight is scary... and food is very big issue in my life. Hoping someone has some more insight on this topic

get some itworks body wraps, find a seller. they're gold. also the following products help, at least they did for me, matahari luminous (moisturizer with firming stuff, smells good) Clarin's cellulite cream (it's around 70 bucks), defining gel from itworks, bliss fat girl slim, bliss fatgirl slim PM

^ yeah I was wondering if binding would work..it's not like skin a dr can remove, it's just not as tight as it was and when I flex I can still grab a bit of wobble on the inside of my thighs and I hate it!!
Aside from a great diet w lots of water and protein, moisturizing, and weight training I haven't heard anything else but I may try those wraps!

Unfortunately, there is no one size fits all here. Everyone has different skin, and what you are talking about here is elasticity. I personally, have VERY good elasticity; meaning I can gain and lose weight without lose skin. (I give up things in other areas to compensate, I guess). I would imagine since it is your thighs and not your stomach you can weight train (with heavy weights) to build your thigh muscles up; but I also second the "it works" brand wraps from experience. The last option would be surgery but I wouldn't think for the thighs it would work so well.

There are non-invasive surgical techniques that involve the use of ultrasound and radio frequency to tighten the skin. Ultherapy and ThermiSmooth Body might be good options for you. These treatments are offered by plastic surgeons and medical spa type settings. Check out a site like RealSelf.com to find a doctor in your area.

Body wraps do work. The problem is that they are only a temporary solution. The skin will revert to its original state after a few days or a few weeks. If you are fine with needing to use this form of treatment on a weekly basis then use body wraps. I would actually recommend learning how to make them yourself. If you want a permanent solution then go with a procedure like Ultherapy, ThermiSmooth Body, VelaShape, or SmoothShapes.

For a Do It Yourself Solution, I would recommend the following:

    1. Take a quick shower. Then use a coffee and sugar based scrub on your whole body. Leave on for 10 - 20 minutes. Rinse off.

    2. Apply a clay mask enriched with sea salt, seaweed, matcha green tea, and chamomile tea all over your body.

    3. Wrap your body with plastic wrap. Then put down towels on your bed. Get into bed and lay on the towels. Wrap your body in an old blanket.

    4. Relax for 45 minutes - 60 minutes. Get out of bed and take off plastic wrap. Rinse body off with lukewarm water.

    5. Apply a firming cream with Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Shea Butter, or Coconut Oil all over your body.

I personally do this spa treatment weekly. It works. I also give my body a monthly light chemical peel. I am 40 years old and look 25 years old from head to toe. I have spent my entire life dedicated to taking care of my skin. My mother is in the fashion and beauty industry. She gave me my first spa treatment when I was 7 years old. This is what women in my family do. If you have the patience to do things like this go for it. If not, then just get surgery.

One thing that most people do not realize is that to be effective most spa treatments need to be done daily or weekly. People often wonder why things don't seem to work. They do a body wrap once or twice. Then they stop. Then they complain that they do not work. They actually do work. You just need to do them OFTEN. It needs to become part of your regular beauty routine. You need to give yourself weekly facials, weekly body wraps, weekly body scrubs, weekly cellulite treatments, etc. Most people do not have the money to be getting treatments on such a regular basis from a spa facility. The only solution is to do it yourself. You must think of spa treatments not as a luxury but as a necessity.

I did find a Dr. here that does the skin removal on the thighs. I would imagine the scars are pretty bad though and since you didn't go from morbidly obese to your current weight you probably don;t have that much skin... just saying surgery may be an option down the road.

Update for anyone struggling w this,,So it's been awhile and it's almost all back to normal!! What really worked for me was

Exfoliation to stimulate cell turnover/new skin/collagen production et. Coffee scrubs, Loufa, and I think dermal rolling would have immensely helped too so I'm gunna try that next.

Really massaging the skin well with oils and body butters (Shea and coco butter) after the exfoliating. Just replenishing and taking care of my skin before bed and "kneading" it.

A lot of protein. Fresh duck eggs, bone broth, fish, Lima beans, chicken in my salads, and hemp protein!!

Weight training like sumo squats that target that area, fewer reps with lots of weight. Really pushing myself.
