Ok so I just got this wig and I'm debating gluing it to a cap like you would a quick weave except you'll be gluing a whole wig not track pieces. Has anyone ever tried this

No..doesn't seem like a good idea though

Get a scalp protectant, a wig that was meant to be glued (full lace), and a glue desolver. You'll be fine if done properly.
I never tried it but it sounds like it could be messy. Is it a lacefront wig? If so you can apply gorilla snot gel or got2b gel to your edges, dry with a blow dryer, apply wig and it won't budge- even with tugging.
I use Ghost Bond Xl that can last up to 3 weeks and that stuff really holds down any lace front, so long as you use alcohol to clean the perimeter of your hairline prior.
(May be expensive but, a tiny bit goes a long way!) It is always a good idea to use roll on scalp protector if using powerful adhesives like Ultra Bond, I also stand by using Groom tape for additional hold.
