Default MFC best way to receive payments? UK

    Hi
    I work on MFC.
For the past two years I've gotten my cheques through the post and had them cashed the same day.
Had the email from Mfc about the payments fucking up, so I chose to receive the cheque in USD. Big fucking mistake!
Initially NatWest told me they would process my cheque in 7 days. Great!
Got a letter today, saying it will be 6-8 weeks!

I know payments are all up in the air at the minute, but can any other UK girls advise me on the best way to get paid?
Seriously thinking about quitting camming altogether, I need reliable income
    Thanks xx

If you're earning a decent amount (£2000/month or thereabouts), check out Citibank's multi-currency accounts. You can pay $ cheques in and transfer it into £ on the spot. (Or this was the case when I looked into it a few months ago.)

If you're not earning that much, ring around other banks and see if their $ cheque payments are quicker. Pro tip: not Santander, their fees are terrible.

I'm actually shocked NatWest are this slow for you - they used to do it in a calendar week. :-/

Me too. When I enquired they said 7 days. Now they've said 6-8 weeks, as the cheque has to be sent back to the original bank, and if they honour it, sent back, then NatWest will honour it.

    Thankyou for your reply x

They have to send foreign cheques to their central processing place. The funds get put into their account and if/when the cheque clears then they transfer the money to your account. You lose money on the exchange rate and then the fee too :/

I don't work mfc, what are the payment options?

    Thanks for your reply.

I can either do e wallets, international wire (min payout $1000) or international check. I'm thinking I might be better of going the international wire route

    Hi Susie.
I've recently signed upto payoneer, but have heard all the drama that's been going on with payments being withheld etc. I've also heard of girls only using their payoneer for online payments. I need the cash

Until now I've always gotten payoneer global bank transfer. Apart from having to shell out more of my hard earned money for this method it's always been reliable and quick. Payoneer have told me they are still able to do gbt for mfc to the UK although I can't verify that as I haven't worked there in a while so haven't had a payment. If we are after all restricted to the card it's not so terrible. You use it like a debit card for noth online and in store shopping. It can get expenive to keep withdrawing from atm's and you can only withdraw up to £200 at once per atm. I'd definitely prefer that over cheque. Tsb is the cheapest and quickest for processing usd cheques of have found, but still a royal pain in the ass x

Sorry to butt in on your post Eva love, but I'm sort of on the same boat. Susie, may I ask why you chose Payoneer GBT over the wire transfer? I'm with payoneer just now but I have the card and I'm absolutely hating the fees so the choice is now between GBT and Wire Transfer. There's quite a storm on Twitter just now over GBT been constantly late so I was leaning more towards Wire Transfer xxx

If you can get payoneer gbt then get it. It costs $3 per transaction and hits your account in GBP. There is no min payout amount (though the site probably has one at like$100) the exchange rate they lose is approx 3% worse off than what xe.com says but it's quick, cheap and efficient. I get my money every week, it's been late literally twice since I started using it in January. It wasn't affected by the recent issues either.

Cheques can get lost and take ages to arrive and weeks to cash, if it comes in $ then the fee is about £12 depending on your bank! The banks have their own less favourable exchange rate too, so you can see why we like the gbt!

You have to hit over 1k before you can use bank transfer straight from MFC. I only work there on and off and there's no way I'd opt for that not knowing if i'd even make half of that in a pay period! GBT is the way to go x

All banks say 6-8 to cover their asses. When I started getting $ cheques it took up to 2 weeks for me to get the funds, but since I've always had it in 6-7 days. I'm with RBS who charge a flat £7 fee per cheque.

    For anyone's future reference;
My cheque took 3 weeks to clear, and there is a £10 flat rate charge (NatWest)
