I'm with dreamhost atm nad have used godaddy in the past, both come to around $12 for a domain. Anywhere cheaper that includes private whois and is adult friendly?
If you got an old pc and pop Linux on it install LAMP and your router supports DDNS. You can host it yourself for unlimted space well as large as the harddrive is
You would only need to pay for the domain then.
There are loads of videos on YouTube on how to do this. It depends on how much traffic you have to the site.
I like bluehost
namesilo. I do not have a history with them but I know a lot of adult related business people that use them and they recommend them all the time.

I will say godaddy has awesome support (which is probably why they cost more) but if all You need is domain then try namecheap. They have support too but I don't think it's 24/7 like godaddy. I doubt you'll need support that much if all you need is a domain.

I am using Linux mint 17. If its that old you will need to use 32bit but yeah. Raspberry pi can do the same thing.
I literally got mine for £50 on eBay. Its a quad core 8gb of ram.
You can get duo core 2 small form pcs like hp8000 for £20-30.
I use mine as a media server. File server. Cctv server twitter bots. File delivery for videos. And trying to sort a website. All this uses about 20% cpu and its never gone over 1gb of ram
Check to see if your router has a ddns setting first.

google 99 cent domains and add privacy. Usually its around 11 or so bucks. That's the cheapest I've found yet. I have owned over 50 domains in 6 years so I know a thing or two![]()
