    Default Looks vs. Personality

This afternoon I visited a bar that brought up a question I thought I might ask here. Also, this bar was one I had been to many years ago, and 2 bar names ago. I talked to this sweet little 23 year old hostess. She asked if I'd been in there before and I told her back when it was named "Campus Pub". She said, oh my mother worked here back then. I asked if she was a hostess or bartender or waitress. It was the latter.

Anyway, at this bar I met a drop dead gorgeous woman with a so-so personality. Later on, I met another woman with a great personality but with so-so looks.

My question, which would you prefer in that situation, looks or personality?

I have been genetically coded to go for replication value. Inside a male's brain is a complex analysis that occurs on his first encounter of a female. within 2-8 seconds a decision is made if she is a potential sexual partner. Some may contest this theory, affirmed believers in the systematic of some Walt Disney happily ever after. To this I reply with simple logic of Charles Darwin and ask, where human civilization be if every man was in love with an obese woman with leprosy and aids?

Women also have a similar systematic genetically hardwired within them, however survival value takes precedence. Replication value does play a major part in survival value!

personality always comes up at the top for me in every situation. my order really is Intellect, personality (that being humor, ability to bridge work and play as for their demeanor ) passiveness - i dont like men or women that are too passive obviously that's problematic when to an extreme but i also cant sand overly aggressive or easily made reactive - something more in the 70/30 range works, hehe
looks are generally down there alittle. Im not going to say I " don't" care about looks, but a sharp mind, and a big heart, and great wit will ALWAYS be my priority not only with lovers/spouces etc, but with friends as well

Personality! A girl with so-so looks and a great personality can make herself look hotter if she puts in the effort, and you'll have fun and be happy with her. But a perfect 10 with a not so great personality will become boring and unfulfilling once you get past her looks. Think in terms of what a relationship with her can do for you. The hot girl with the crappy personality can be good arm candy for when you go out, but is that what matters most to you? What else can she give you besides her looks? (which are likely artificial anyway)

I whole heartedly agree with you East on the fact that a personality plays a big role in the longevity of the situation. I also agree that a person is more sexually appealing with a personality, and can be completely disqualified with a horrible or lacking personality regardless of how physically attractive they may be. I think we all have a minimum when it comes to looks, 7-10 has worked out for me so far. I doubt I would be of any use to a girl if unable to produce an erection rofl!
