    Default Pets at your incall?

Curious to see how many of you keep your furry friends at your incall. I have an x-large dog with and extra large bark and unfortunately she barks at the people coming in the door. Not aggressively, she just gets excited. I'm thinking of getting a vibrating bark collar to deter and stop this behaviour so that I can eventually keep her in the second bedroom. That way I have her company when I'm not w a client and on those slow days when I need a cuddle.

    thoughts?

I have my 3 pups at my incall - they're yappy and little ... didn't want to ever have to "put them away" but work calls for it, so I made them a nice little cozy area in the second bathroom, and just give them some treats when they go in ... it's for 2 hrs max most of the time and they know what the deal is at this point. IDK they still bark when they hear the door, but they're contained and you know some ppl are allergic or just nervous of dogs so it works out.

The citronella collars work well on big dogs ... a friend used them for his collies that were so barky.

Good to know!! I already have a shock/vibratiln collar for both my bf and my dog, bc it's the only thing that stops them from eating dog shit at the dog park... They BOTH do it. The vibration setting is more than enough for my girl, but I need a bark collar, so the negative reinforcement it automatic. The ones we have now come w a clicker and is not automatic.

I was researching shock, vibration, and citronella collars. Decided to go with either the two latter, but read several customer reviews complaining that the citronella container broke and leaked everywhere!! Did you ever have that issue? I imagine this is only a problem if the container is glass.

I refuse to see any pet a client might bring to an incall appointment. If the pet wants to see me it will have to go through the proper channels and setup a separate appointment time. Sorry bub.

Actually, tho, those types of collars might be well suited to some men.

I have 3 big dogs at my incall. They know to be quiet when an expected incall guest is coming over and not make a peep, but all hell breaks loose if it's the mailman lol. I use a little spray of the squirt bottle on the head for unwanted behavior or noise they make. It's just water, heck one of my dogs is a water dog, but a NO and a spray to the forehead seems to work well over time with consistency

Never had an issue with the citronella collar - got the one from petco/petsmart.

I'm just a cat lady, my three just want a quick pet. Most people don't seem to mind. TBH if my animals don't want to talk to you I probably won't again either. Animals know when people are bad.
