So, did anyone here have to start at a crappy club and manage to work their way up to better ones or are still in the process of finding a new club?

Yes..
I think if you put this in stripping, &/or searched there to, you'd see..lots still work @ dives
But yea, have & did.
Good luck

Thanks. Do dives generally want you to have any pole experience? Are they pretty much the same as urban clubs, but with a non Hip Hop crowd?

Well..depends, the one I was @ no but some have really @ the dives strong skills..honestly I'd check the place out as a custy to be sure, or just watch a bit when you go in to apply?.
But generally pole is not a requirement, look hot, have some sensual move & that mostly should nail it.

Started at dives, went to nice clubs, went back to dives. I got treated better at dives

Yes. Noting wrong with that at all. Some clubs want girls with experience and it's a great way to get that experience at a dive type club. Just like a lot of jobs. Some jobs won't higher unless you have similar experience.

Dives are my favorite ones! I remember one of my exes taking 3 hours to get ready and good ol POS dive wouldn't charge her a stage fee as long as we made it before 10 oclock pm lol![]()

I started in a dive, went to a mid tier/upper tier place, then went back to dives cause that's what I preferred. I don't like a lot of rules and it's easy to totally clean house. Everyone has their club preferences

When you went mid tier, did you have some pole experience?

^if you're asking me, then yes I did have a little..I could do a few tricks and spins. But it's not mandatory at all. Graceful floor work, a good body, and smiling is a LOT more important

I started at probably the shittiest (or maybe 2nd shittiest) club in Southern New England- I just had no clue what I was doing at all. I lasted maybe 4 or 5 weeks and then went to a mid-tier club then a larger mid-tier club then got out of New England and worked at some upscale clubs when I first moved to Miami. I feel like it is a natural evolution of a stripper. I know some girls start at upscale/ large clubs. I have seen one or two girls on here that never danced and walk right on to a top shift a Spearmint Rhino in Vegas. If you are the type of person to do well in a baptism by fire type of environment then go for it. To me, this is the equivalent of jumping into shark infested water when you can barely doggie paddle. I am glad I got a few notches under my belt.
My first club didn't even have private dance rooms (you did dances on the floor or on a bench along the side of the wall behind the main stage). Less than a year later I was at a club with celebrity and pro-athlete customers and champagne rooms that sold for up to 10,000. I would have never been able to hack it there if it was my first club and probably would have quit dancing very quickly.

That's a really inspiring story. I figure I'll try a mid tier once I have a little big pole experience.

Hahaha, yes my first 2 clubs were total dives. I won't name them. Glad I graduated to better places.
i started at a dirrrry dirty place with no dressing room
& girls who were clearly on drugs. & we had to sell $25 drinks to make money. i made $11 learned to get naki on stage & a couple twirls. left after day 1 at the stank club. auditioned at a midtier & won amateur night! learned to hustle. moved to vegas & got hired at Spearmint Rhino dayshift. i couldnt survive there so i went back to mid tiers. that vegas hustle made me do VERY well in mid tiers. the girls dont hustle as hard.
Yes I started at a total dump that didnt serve liquor because it was the only club in my area that hired under 21. I moved on to better things easily but I had to wait until I was old enough. Until then I traveled a little bit and tried working and temporarily living in a couple of other cities where I could work and at a certain point when I had like 6 months to go until turning 21 I just said screw it and got a job at a hooters type restuarant where I made pretty much the same amount of money as the crappy club.

Yep! I went sink or swim style at the dirtiest busiest club in town. They fired me because I wasn't making as much due to not giving extras. Went to a mid tier club, made twice as much with a better environment. I loved that club. When it got shut down, I moved to an upper mid tier. It's the only club in my state that has $20 no contact floor dances and guys that will happily buy rooms - my nightly average has doubled and I work half as much.
I'm glad i started at the shithole though- baptism by fire works for me and it was a good place to learn how to approach guys and keep hustling since the customer turnover was so high. I also don't take shit from other girls cause you had to learn to deal with the ratchet girls in that place, so you get good at standing up for yourself.
"People jack off with the left hand and point with the right."
"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."
Yes. I started out at a shithole after the more upscale club had rejected me because I had no experience. Sometimes you have to start off at a dive and work your way up. The upscale clubs can be hard to get into for a newbie, but sometimes you just might get lucky.

Yeah fuck rules. The only problem with the No Rules clubs is that they are a circus, but you don't have a whip
.
But the Corporate clubs suck, way too many rules.
My 2nd club was the epitome of no fucking rules. It was a bit much, and cost my best friend his life WTF
There is an ideal balance, but almost impossible to attain
