    Default Skype App security

    I am using the skype app on my computer instead of in a browser does that mean my IP can be found? Thanks

    I wasn't aware you could even use Skype in a browser? But I know Skype makes it easier in general to get an ip.

    Short answer, yes. always use a vpn with skype. doesn't matter if it's phone or computer.

    whats the up to date list of ones you recommend? any other settings i need to re-learn? going back to skype this week!

    Depends on what you're going for exactly and how often you plan to use a VPN. If you don't need too much data (only doing a few shows per month), you can use a free one like cyberghost or vpn book (the latter of which is awesome speed wise, but not very user friendly). If you plan on using it on a mobile device (tablet, phone, ect), I'm personally a fan of turbo vpn.

    If you're willing to pay for it, you'll have FAR better choices and fewer data caps. I use spotflux for my computer. it's $4.99 per month and has great speeds. the main reasons I like Spotflux more so than a lot of it's competitors is due to privacy & not having data caps. It's also very easy to use, which is nice.
