    Default Favorite DIY Beauty Treatments

What are your favorite DIY at home beauty treatments? Can be for face, body, hair, or internal. I'm about to have some down time for once and I want to do things at home.

    Honey oatmeal facial.
Using a new razor & aloe soap to shave face- apparently Asian women favor shaving the face as a way to fight wrinkles & unsightly facial hair.
Mani/pedi...always a great thing to touch up

Haircare at home hack- do the occasional oil/build up removal with dish soap before you deep condition or do henna. (Of course if you have chemically treated hair don't put dish soap on your hair.) Vinegar rinses work for this too. Scalp cleanness is a huge boost for hair growth.

I make this mask that exfoliates, reduces oiliness and blemishes, and tastes great:
Pulverize mint green tea in a spice grinder or mortar and pestle. I use my fingers sometimes too. You only need like a tbsp. You can use other teas as well for other effects. The mint feels great.
Add enough boiling water just to saturate the tea and "steep" for a few minutes. I do this in a tiny saucer or teacup.
Pour off any excess liquid and add about an equal amount of honey.
Paint it on your face with an old makeup brush, then massage with your fingertips.
Leave it on for a half hour or more.

My roommate calls me "jungle hamdinger" when I don this mask cause it looks like I'm covered in mud.

Oil cleansing method, using organic cold-pressed rosehip seed oil. It is GREAT for dry skin. You can purchase this pricey oil cheaply on etsy. I use the forego brush everyday for oil cleansing and love it. Just wash the brush after.

After I've cleansed, before going to bed, I'll do a honey mask. The darker the honey, the better. I like Manuka. Leave it on for at least 10, preferably 15 mins and wash off with COLD water.

Oh and lay off the caffeine, and drink lots of water.

I second this! I use coffee grounds straight out the can and it gives me a nice 'glow' and UBER soft skin.
What do you do for work, bb?

Herbal remedy for spots: apply fresh Aloe Vera on the spots and rub.

Mix onion juice with vinegar (1:2 teaspoons), and apply on the spots.

Mix 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of orange juice; soak a cotton ball and apply on spots.

Apply some lemon juice on the spots (be ware from the sun).

If you feel trouble, you can drink aloe juice every day instead of this. Because will delay sign of aging, hydrates skin, gets rid of acne and blemishes, drops stretch marks, and heals external lesions.
