The title says it.Because of chronic stress and anxiety, I am always making weird squinty facial expressions, etc so I already have 11 lines in between my eyes. Also, because of TMJ since I was about 10, I already have a smile line on one side of my face. I always knew I was going to get wrinkles around my mouth early because of the TMJ. I am surprised that I do not have more than just the one, but grateful that it is just one instead of more. Years of TMJ also caused my lips to be much thinner when they used to be very full.
I first noticed the wrinkles when I was 22. Wrinkle taping at night has stopped them from getting worse, but it still embarassing to put tape on my face everynight around my boyfriend. Wrinkle taping reduces the wrinkles during the day, but if I go a couple nights without doing it, the wrinkles come back full force.
It is still really depressing because I did not think I would already have to start getting fillers and botox at 24 years old. I originally had the fate to age so gracefully. My mom is in her late 40's and doesn't have any wrinkles. People still think she is in her 20's. My grandma still looked like she was in her 30's when she was in her 50's. It is also very depressing because keeping up on botox and fillers gets very, very pricey and I never thought I would have to shell out so much money to get rid of wrinkles at such an early age.
I tried derma-rolling and retin-a for almost two years straight with no results. I have also been trying face yoga since the age of 22 with no results. I have been taking collagen pills for six months, but I do not think I see any results from collagen pills either.
Did anyone else have to start botox and fillers at such an early age? Am I more depressed about it than I should be?
