    Default Makeup ideas.

What are your signature makeup looks?? Especially for winter/Xmas time? Looking for ideas. I love new looks..last year I was obsessed with "puppy dog eyeliner" and soft Korean makeup styles. Now I kinda wanna try some grunge/90s style makeup looks..last October I was in love with 1960s twiggy eyes. just anything, really! New, kinda different looks. Right now I do a dramatic lip and not much else
anybody else have dark dark grey eyes? What colors are best for you??

Ok so I know I'm replying to my own thread (seriously, you ladies are good with makeup I need some fresh shit!) but I got dusty purple creamy eyeliner and I looove it! It's subtle and natural looking like brown but it adds more drama and makes eyes greener and just pops! I'm not even wearing mascara, just a tiny bit of the purple liner kinda smudgy right along my lashes and it's my new go-to

i just got the modern renaissance palette by anastasia beverly hills (i know i'm late lol) and it is life changing!

I have a ton of palettes but this is literally the only one I need, so on trend. It looks good with my green eyes, too.

I feel like reds and oranges are very trendy right now and i like doing smokey eyes with lighter colors.

Also, I'm really feeling the Christina Aguilera 'Dirty' Eye make up look (recently revived by Kylie Jenner). It's a smokey eye with a brown, but it's glossy. I'm looking for products to recreate.

I really feeling Christina Aguilera Back to Basic and Genie in a Bottle eras. I am becoming a huge Xtina fan of all sudden, she's very underrated... her talent is so magnificent that even if she didn't have the looks, she could be as famous on her voice alone like Adele.

Also, I saw her perform with Lady Gaga on youtube lastnight and I love her look there

I'm getting better at eye makeup. I am looking more like my mom as my face is losing its final baby fat so 1960-70s era makeup looks are good on me.

Nude/light colors on lips. When I was young I loved to rock red lip crayon but now I'm old enough that red looks like, ugh just too much.

With aging facial skin, higher quality foundation is a must. TBH Revlon's Photofinish products are the best you can get at the drugstore to hide fine lines or discoloration.

I actually have to go shopping for makeup later. I'm glad I read this thread first; gave me some ideas!

I've noticed ELF makeup is a good way to try new looks. Of course if you find something you like upgrading to a more pricey set of products is worth it.

I really love the newer Physician's Formula products & will re-up on several of them.

Regarding Makeup Setting Spray- I got a 2ndhand bottle of Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray & liked it allright. (I like Hairspray better but it can cause skin breakouts.)

I'll buy it again & see how it works. I now accept the importance & value of eyeshadow primer & other primers. I used to be too young & too cheap to try them.

For the last two years at least everyone has been obsessed with all things matte. I have oily skin and big lips, so i will always embrace the shiny wet look. It just hides the fact that I'm greasy AF. Love it lip gloss on eyelids or pigment mixed with Vaseline does the trick. No need to go out and buy new shit. Just break up a pod and play around with it. The look here

I just wanted to add that you may want to plan a microderm session after using the wet look. My favorite is a scrub using egg whites and coffee grinds.

^totally agree, I love dewy makeup!! I know everyone has their own style but I find the current IG makeup looks extremely cakey and aging.
You think aloe Vera gel or smthg would be a good dupe for Vaseline??

Never tried aloe vera? But I have used it with cocoa butter and retinal gel. I think you just need to play around with what you got to see what works. I only suggest this with night time looks in clubs. So when you start getting sweaty you still look fresh and vibrant.

Pin up makeup! My go to because I don't like overly done eyes typically but I need something to look polished. I love the black eyeliner and red lip combo.

I just bought this Loreal Infallible lip paint in Coral. Very glossy, thick and rich.
I, also like my makeup to look wet/glossy.
It stays on until I'm ready to take it off.

My dad acatuall bought me "unicorn snot" glitter for my birthday thinking it was funny and it was like a craft supply but it's actually this awesome body/hair glitter!!
I'm gunna wear it tonight for New Year's Eve on my cheekbones /eyelids..I wanna try the "glitter roots" trend but I don't want to wash my hair out cause my condish is expensive lmao.
But it's this beautiful dewy gold glitter, hope it turns out well!
I either love the kinda "out there editorial, Kimberly margarita, lots of cool colors and sparkles" look or the soft youthful "no makeup" Asian styles look
