A bit more on this one https://youtu.be/bkfbG9OkiPM

One of the best speeches of her career. I LOVE everything about Madonna. She has inspired me in so many ways. Whenever I am down and feeling like I couldn't go on, I look to Madonna.
"In life there is no real safety except for self-belief." Madonna
Here is the full speech:

Yep same here. When I was very young i preferred Kylie. I didn't 'get' madonna until I was probably 16 ish and then i REALLY got her when i was in my 20's. Strong, powerful, outspoken, a total trailblazer. Love or hate her music, she has EARNED the right to speak, and I'm so glad she did <3
That's an amazing speech thanks😊

I would say the end of that speech is EXACTLY the way I feel about cam and why I am constantly trying to buck the system even though I cannot.. most camgirls have conformed to what the status quo is.. So I must sit here and smile and be quiet... this is why I don't want to cam anymore.. it's to much of drowning my true self .. to old for that now.

1992, The Erotica/Sex Book era was some of Madonna's best work. A time when she was vilified, shunned and turned against by the majority of Americans as if she was dead.
I love this era so much, can't stop playing and singing 'Erotica'.

Thank you so much for posting this, I went and listened to the whole thing.Really good stuff!

What a truly moving speech had me in tears. the misogyny and hatred for women displayed by some men breaks my heart and fills me with rage . you can tell from the faces of the women in the audience that each one was feeling it too.

I love & honor Madonna in every way possible. I grew up in the late 80's early 90s loving her music & often having to sneak around my mom to watch her Truth Or Dare Movie a few times on HBO LoL. Her biography is my bible. I read that shit when I'm down on my luck or just hard up in life sometimes. It's given me strength. A lot of people have often been intimidated by me bc I'm like her , a strong, independent woman that takes no shit from anyone esp men. When I saw her last year during her Rebel Heart tour I literally cried & sung along as I watched her perform. She will always be my idol <3
"Alot of people are afraid to say what they want, that's why they don't get what they want"~ Madonna
"Respect is a dying art"
"Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box"

Just amazing, love Madonna! What she said "... the person i am today it's because all the shit i been thru cause of ur resistance ... so thank you" called home with me really & i bet with many other women in the audience there and here on this forum and world wide for everyone who watched it, once again we come to the saying "What does not kill u it's making u stronger", us women have to put up with a lot of crap from people & men in life if it's personal life or career, jobs, so on. Madonna is a strong woman & i admire her a lot!
i recommend bio about madonna by j randy taraborelli this is weird am reading it now - did not know about the speech thank you for posting madonna is one of my idols i dont agrre with everything she says but her art her songs and movies gives me great energy i have courage to just be me

I used to love her when I was 10-16'ish, but she became too much for me after Confessions. I like her recent album, but she's more a role model then a singer I listen to nowadays. She pretty much raised me as a woman in an indirect way....
it doesn't mean I won't listen to her now and then, but it's not my go to anymore.

If you are a fan of Madonna, her biography is pretty much all over the internet.
I knew her life story like the back of my hand.... went to a catholic school, her gay ballet teacher show her Detroit and told her she was beautiful like a Roman statue which is why she love the gay culture so much... took $30 went to New York, and became a superstar.... right place right time right person.. her intention was to become a great ballet dancer, but her boyfriend was a musician, ate popcorn due to no money, work at a ice cream shop in New York, she didn't want to become a "dancer*cough*" because she thought it wasn't necessary, and she started going that route... she was rape in New York which change everything for her, she did some nude modeling and made some artsy fartsy film back in 1980.... was hired by a rock n roll label, but that label wasn't doing anything for her, and she was getting old (like she was turning 24) immediately drop it, got hired by Sire records, play a record called Everybody, the guy love her music... then boom Like a Virgin.. rest is history.

OMG. I am such a bad fan. I should had watch that speech... damn one of the most powerful things I ever saw!!!!

Wow... she finally seeing her dreams come true.

Damn when she said shes from detroit, my heart just pounded, she is so right!!!! She's not from new york, she just went there...
Wow! Spoken from the heart, I could feel her pain, and I know what its like to play that game....its true, what she says.........Thanks for posting this. I needed to see this, to hear this, such a powerful speech.

Wow, thank you for posting this. Love it!
The best part of it for me was where she says that as women we have to start appreciating our own worth and each other's worth and to seek out strong women to befriend, be inspired by, to collaborate with, to support, to be elightened by.
I want to find a longer version where they didn't cut it off before the full reaction from the crowd was shown. I saw so much emotion there when they would cut to the audience and it looked like they were all doing a standing ovation where it cuts off.
