    Default Stripping in Europe

First of all hi everyone, I'm new here I've read through all the newbie threads - thank you so much for them, they're super helpful! - and around the internet for information and I think I'm going to go to an audition in a month or two. There's something that's still really unclear to me, though: how do European clubs work differently from those in the States?

I've looked at some local exotic dancers' blogs and all they say is "haha, it's definitely different on the other side of the puddle" but they don't really specify it. All I've figured out is that house fees are rarer in Europe, there's some sort of standard wage system, and tipping is a whole lot different.

Are there any ladies here who've had experience dancing in European clubs who'd like to share their experiences? Or should I just call a club and ask? I really wouldn't want to seem oblivious...

Oh geez, when I tried to search for "Europe" I couldn't find anything, but just now I'm seeing the "similar threads" suggestions under this post... Oops! Feel free to delete this thread since there's already discussion about it.

Clubs in Europe are pretty varied, especially if you compare the UK (closer system to North America) to Continental Europe (more commission based). Further to that, each club has its own commission structure, so there's nothing wrong with calling the clubs you're interested in and asking how it works for them. There's barely any info online about dancing in Europe, and a lot of it is outdated, so that's really the only way you'll find out what the deal is. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll call around, see when I can (or dare to) audition, and when - not saying if, because I really really want to at least try this! - I start at a club, I'll reply here with some updated information so that others can hopefully get some questions answered too. Stay tuned!

I only strip in Finland. I have been to many USA clubs as a customer only. No one tips at the stage. You have to go around and ask for tips after your dance. The prices of everything is extremely high compared to USA clubs on the same level. Your cut of dances and drinks are radically lower than in the USA from what I have read in these forums. All of the clubs I have worked at are private dance based and heavy on drink sales. Most men expect extras and I'm not sure why. A lot of Finnish men have been to countries that are heavy on the extras and then come home and expect the same from what they have told me. Also because the prices for a private dance are so high they expect it comes with a bj. I've had to really hustle with no shame and learn how to say no no no. The clubs are slow. It's still pretty taboo in this country and there is no tipping culture so you actually have to explain the concept many times in a night. Not many Finnish women strip they are mostly coming from neighboring countries so the demand for girls is high. You can get hired by email. They really want more diversity. There are highs and lows but a good night is still a good night. I think the way the whole thing works in general is a lot different than USA clubs. But I've only dances here so I can't say much else. I have friends who have traveled the EU stripping and from what they said it's sort of the same but money making differs.

Y'all the club took me! I'm starting next weekend!!

A lot of what raakashock said applies to my club too. There is no house fee, stage tipping isn't a thing (10 $1 notes looks a lot better than two €5 notes anyway ), and according to the manager the majority of the girls' money comes from selling champagne. For instance, if a customer orders a €150 bottle, the dancer who accompanied them at the time of the purchase gets X% of the money. You have to register an official trade name for yourself with which you bill the club monthly to get your champagne money. The tips that customers do give to dancers, eg. after after a stage performance or during a private dance, are free for the dancer to keep. The club I'll be working at has a strict rule against hand/blowjobs, and allegedly the customers know it too.

I didn't have to audition at all, I just walked in after an email exchange and chatted with the manager at the bar, which was pretty chill You'll want to give a good impression though, getting interviewed doesn't automatically mean they'll invite you to dance! I was really nervous before and made sure I looked good and had prepared a bunch of small talk-ish questions; the manager will obviously think you will be bad at hustling if you can't even keep up a conversation with them... Anyway, some clubs might do auditions, but from what I've heard it's not at all as common in Europe - maybe because the majority of the money does come from talking with customers and getting them to buy drinks (as a fun anecdote, the manager told me about a girl "who couldn't dance at all, it was almost embarrassing watching her on the stage, but she was the absolute best at hustling, so we kept her for years").

But yeah, for me the process was pretty much club website -> email exchange, schedule an interview -> talk with club owner (this is where you get to know the ins and outs) -> "cool, wanna come in next weekend?"
Best of luck to all fellow eurostrippers!

    Good luck!

Ive danced in the UK and I found to stage to be of almost zero importance. The contact rules were also a lot more strict than clubs Ive danced at in Canada or the US.
