Post Thinking about stripping - questions about dances?

So I'm 18rs old I've been really considering becoming a stripper, and even though I've been reading up a lot on it, I still have a few questions about it.

-What's the difference between a lap dance, a table dance, and floor work? Are they the same thing?

-When someone keeps buying lap dances from you, wouldn't you start to run out of moves and poses after a while? Or do you kinda just keep doing the same ones over and over again lol

-Not exactly related to dances but what goes on in the champagne/VIP room? I am NOT interested in doing extras or anything, but what exactly do you do in there? Is it the same thing as getting a lap dance but it's just more private & longer?

-During a lap dance how much physical contact should there be? Do dancers usually give air dances or do you have to be all over your customer?

Maybe I'm questioning it too much lol but I'm curious.. thanks in advance!

Lap dance: you dance "on" the customer. In most places it includes grinding which can vary from very slight to full on full friction. Table dance is basically an air dance in front of the customer at the table or chair on the main floor of the club. Floor work is when you are on stage and crawl and roll around on the floor sexily.

Keep doing the same moves for multiple dances but I am not sure about the "poses" thing. I am not really into vogueing.

Champagne room- yes basically. And if you want to be a successful stripper also some pleasant conversation.

Contact level depends where you are. Also, some clubs do not hire girls under 21- so keep that in mind as well.

LOL @ poses and "voguing" that cracked me up !
Unless you work at a strict no contact place you aren't going to just be posing in front of the customer (unless that somehow works for you personally). It really is so club specific. It can go from heavy grinding and full contact to light one-way contact and lap sitting and boobs-in-face to no contact/both feet on floor stuff. Check out what the other girls are doing when you arrive and let them explain the rules.

I keep a lot of different moves in my LD arsenault cause I had custies complain all the time that the girl just does the exact same thing..but it's not just circus tricks and flips ,I'd say most of it is beeathing lightly in the ear, running hands through hair, arching back, hair curtains, you know..intimate-feeling sexy moves that aren't pre-planned. You'll get more comfortable as time goes on.

probably should have phrased the "posing" part a little better that's not quite what i meant Lol.. but yeah, it'll all definitely take me some time to get used to but thanks for the helpful advice.

She pretty much said it all.

When you do lap dances, go slow and sensual. Give plenty of eye contact, but not TOO much. You'll develop your own little lap dance, and stage dance too, It all just takes time and practice. Whatever you do, make sure it looks like you are having fun. Fun=money.

All great questions! So yes like everyone mentions, it does depend on the club. I've only worked in full contact clubs which means the customers can touch you, you know depending on your level of comfort, for example if you don't want your boobs touched just mention this to the customer before beginning the lap dance. One things for sure, and this is important, customers are for sure not allowed to touch your vagina in any way! Some clubs are very strict about this, in the sense that if they find out, they will ban you from the club. In the end, the girls working at the club do whatever they feel they need to do and they're usually very discreet about it.

The other posts pretty much answer the questions. Floor work is when you're up on stage, if you know some pole tricks, that's great, it can definitely be a plus, but if not it's not a big deal. If you're not sure what to do on your first time, try some pole courses (this definitely helped me) or if you don't have the money you can always do some drop in practice time, those are usually cheaper, maybe once or twice and practice what you see on youtube. I suggest checking out the "instructional videos" thread, i've been dancing for a while and I'm still looking at new videos for inspiration.

You can do table dances if you want. This is usually no contact, and it's done wherever the customer is sitting, it's like a lap dance as in you just dance and take your clothes off. But in all my time of stripping, I've only had one customer who pretty much insisted on a table dance rather than a lap dance. I usually try to sell a lap dance as table dances are cheaper, for example at a club I'm working in a table dance is 10$ whereas a lap dance is 20$ per song.

And lastly lap dances go on in the champagne/vip room, the managers usually give you a tour of the club when you first start. If you're not sure about a routine, or if you need some ideas on what to do, there's definitely plenty of material on youtube. For example this video I've just come across, I find interesting

Read as much as you can about stripping in this forum. And be careful about some customers, remember who you are, respect yourself and if something doesn't seem right, get yourself out of that situation! Don't do anything you don't want to do, it's not worth the money! I wish someone would have told me these things when I started, I've done some things that I'm not necessarily proud of, but I learn from it, I learn my boundaries and I learn to become more assertive and that's what matters most.

I wish you all the best

I'm another looking-into-it newbie and have a question about the VIP rooms - like, what actually happens in there? Say you've got a man who wants to go VIP with you. What happens once you enter the room? Do y'all sit down and talk, how is the dance initiated (who picks the music? can you choose your own lap dance songs or do VIP rooms have music playing all the time that you just start dancing to? what do you play the music on?), how do you eventually leave the room gracefully (not like, ok 30 minutes is up, bye)?

Here's how it usually goes down in the club where I work. So when the guy says "okay let's go for a dance", we go to the room, sometimes the customer has a preference, but I usually go to any room, then he sits down, and I usually sit on him and wait for the next song to play so that they get the full experience kind of thing and while you wait you can keep talking or start flirting a little. As for the music, the club usually already has some playing in the background. In smaller clubs, you tend to dance to whatever song the DJ is playing for the stage, but in larger clubs, there is often a second floor or basement that has all the rooms and they play different music than what is on stage. All in all, music should already be there for you. For your last question, most of the time, the customer will say when they want to stop the lapdance like "this was great, thanks" kind of thing. After the first song, I like to ask "would you like another song" mostly to infer that the next song is playing and you know they either say yes or no. You don't have to do this for every song, customer usually know what goes on at the club and how it works, unless it's like some young guys who look like they've never been. And some customers, usually older, spend a lot of money, so some clubs will let you know that it's a good idea to collect after three songs, this is kind of protection for them and the dancers. Let's say if someone doesn't pay you, and you say "oh he owes me for four songs" well they will only collect for three songs because it's one of the rules. Depends on the club, sometimes you're on your own, so this is what you need to be careful for.

This is quite the information lol, I hope this helps

Thank you so much Isabo! That really cleared up many things I was super unsure about... it'll be way nicer going to that audition and appear like I've done my research and am not completely clueless about how clubs work, haha. It's in two weeks, by the way, and I'm so excited!
