I saw something about this a couple decades ago. My longtime plan is to make one of these tanks on my property in addition to a sauna.

This is old news and common knowledge to any athlete but good that it's comming to light.. Story short, soaking in epsom salt does wonders for your skin, helps you sleep deeper, all the way down to improving the electrical impulses when your brain signals your muscles to fire so you will have faster reaction times.

The article is about floating which is submerging yourself in a highly concentrated tub of epusum salt to the point that you float, but you can also use the bathtub at your own home with 5-10 pounds of epsom and get away with that just fine just you won't be floating.

I take epsom salt baths about once a week... I get my salts from Sam's Club in bulk and sometimes if I want to use himalayan salt, or dead sea salt, I buy from the saltworks website... www.seasalt.com

Table salt in the bath works fine too.

Yes, this used to be quite a trend, Sensory Depravation Tanks..there was a movie made about it, tho I can't remember the title of it.

The older I get I feel like sensitive people are just too assaulted by the stresses of the modern world (bad food, pollution, oppressive society.) I've used baths a lot to de-stress.

I'm going to re-search building a semi-portable tank + hot tub combo since I might want one in a rental before I have a long term living space.

    Indeed!

On particularly greuling work days I use this to revive my muscles.
