    Default Hair clips for updos

what is the best hair clip to securely hold my hair up in a messy bun, but also easy to take out?

I like doing updos, I have noticed that other girls don't do this, but it seems to get me money.

However, I also like to let my hair down, and it messes up my routine if my hair gets stuck in the clip.

Girls who do updos: what works for you? You can post pics if you can't describe the clip

Ok, I'll try to describe, it's a long skinny tapering metal clip, I had one a long time ago, lost it, & bought another, @ Ulta. It's very secure, & easy to remove.
I also have a long, tapering, wooden stick, I love it, but try not to leave the house w/it, as I've tried to replace it & couldn't! I do not want to risk loosing it. It kinda has a couple bumps in it ,which makes it easy to stay in the hair.
Those straight plastic sticks do.not.stay. Plastic slldes right out of your hair, esp if it's straight, & your hair's clean.
I also find that putting some product in helps it stay (w/the wooden stick). You have to kind of work w/it & really weave it into your hair. If the hair's very clean, it will slide easily & possibly get lost.
I have used a pencil, in a pinch.
Good luck hope it helps you.

    Do You mean this kind?
I have these, and they hold up my thick, waist length hair perfectly.
    They're called Alligator clips.
