Default People tell me I should switch to a more classy club

I'm new and I just went to the closest strip club I could find. It's a dive bar, but even there the money is not bad. Of course I'd love/need more if I truly want to change my financial situation... They say I should try Christie's Cabaret which is a further drive downtown. I cannot shake my ass, and I basically just twirl around on stage and sometimes take my bra off. I'm wondering if I should take pole dancing lessons, and I also feel like I should be a little fitter even though people tell me I'm good as is.

Many people tell me I'm the most attractive girl at the club, but other girls still probably make more. I lose out on money all the time because I either walk away after the conversation seems to go nowhere, or I refuse to give them my real life number. Then they say I ruined the moment or that if I had waited longer they would have gotten a dance.

Still it's a very cheap vip area, it's not even in a separate room.

Plus I'm sick today and I'm nervous to call off as I left early last night and I took a few days off in the beginning of the week, I just didn't show up but it's not like I have a schedule. Last night I wasn't feeling it and they gave me a hard time for leaving early.

Dives are usually a good place to learn to hustle and usually have lower house fees than higher end clubs (both an advantage for a newbie). Unless you REALLY don't like it I'd stay there a while longer, take advantage of being one of the most attractive girls and refine your hustle. Unless it's an urban or other especially stage oriented club pole tricks generally wont significantly effect your income. Read Hustle Hut, it's a goldmine of info. Giving your phone number will not make or break the sale with a decent customer, phone number guys are generally cheap time wasters. Unless there's something in your contract about not working at other clubs you could also go try out a few shifts at Christies before quitting the dive.

Not sure what it's like over there, but here stage tipping is not a big money maker and clubs will not pay you to do stages unless you're a professional show girl who has one titles in a show girl competition. I've heard if you work in an urban club with a lot of twerking you can earn more money on stage, but we don't have those kind of clubs in Australia.
I've worked in 5 out of 6 strip clubs in my state and it doesn't matter if you're in a dive or a gentleman's club, if you can't hustle dances it doesn't matter. I had less guys tell me I "didn't belong here" in the classy clubs, but that doesn't make a difference to your money. I had a side business selling gowns in a gown club which was fun, but they had heaps of rules and fines there.

Don't discount yourself because you're new. A lot of clubs are okay with an inexperienced girl, if you look good. I'm not a huge fan of dives, so I would advise trying out the more upscale club and seeing how it goes. If you don't like it, or they don't hire you, at least now you have a better perspective on what's out there.

Also, read as much as you possibly can in Hustle Hut. You need to work on selling dances... don't talk to guys for more than 2 songs without asking for a dance ("Can I dance for you now?"), and never give out your number or agree to something other than a sale. The "if you waited longer" comment is BS, they're just trying to get free time with you.

Who exactly is telling you that you should switch to a more classy club?

When I worked in a dive, I would have girls tell me this all the time. I can't help but think it was because I was by far the most attractive one there, and they were trying to get rid of the competition. As for customers......well, they're customers. 99% of the time they have no clue what they're even talking about.

Definitely check out other clubs if you feel that you're not reaching your full earning potential at your current one, but just be careful who you take advice from.

A little off topic but I dont know why people say that dives are great places to learn to hustle. Like I have work in a variety of types of clubs including some real "hole in the wall where the fuck are we the reviews say this is where strippers come to die I think I am in the movie saw" and just some lower tier clubs. But its not like the girls in those clubs are all deer in headlights new girls who cant hustle and classier places are full of stone cold hustlers.

Not that problems cant arise at any kind of club but those lower end places can have lots of girls with pimps, pimps sitting in the club, girls doing a whole lot for real cheap out in the open and customers expecting that, girls that will want to fight you because you looked at them wrong supposedly, people getting arrested in the middle of your shift, and girls who maybe instead of spreading rumors about you or trying to mafia style leverage with the managers and club staff try to push you out, will just push you down a flight of stairs or something lol. or girls who are just older or too strung out and the nicer clubs let them go.

And upscale places can have stone cold hustlers with years of experience, but they can also have girls who are mediocre at hustling and just look good enough or are thin/young enough to work there.

Pole tricks are usually not needed, but can be a great help but you can learn those over time, I really doubt they will affect your audition unless its a very stage based urban club. And if you work night time with a lot of girls and they dont have like 7 stages, you probably arent going to be on stage that much anyway. Get yourself dances or better yet into a champagne room!

Conversation with customers is something you just kinda get the hang off, it can be hard at first to think of a lot to talk about. You dont need to give out your number. I mean if you find a good regular, do what you want, but a lot of guys think number means dating (for free) or outside the club activites that you may or may not want and they may or may not want to pay very much for.

Yes, the girls might be trying to get you to leave so you arent competition. Yes, you might actually just have a more upscale or midtier look/vibe and people can see that. Or the customers are just trying to compliment you and that was their attempt at it.

But def try out other clubs, even if you feel you are making fine money, never hurts to have options/check out other places, dont have to leave the place forever, just audition and work that night and maybe keep both if they arent strict on scheduling or drop one. Trying other clubs can help you figure out where is best for you and makes you a better dancer and options are great in case things go sour at one place.

^Actually, this is very true. The high-end club where I started dancing had no tolerance for drugs or fighting. You'd be fired immediately. I later switched to a dive, and the things that were allowed there would have probably traumatized me and scared me off dancing forever had it been my first club, lol.

I've noticed there are often two types of dives. One is the friendly neighborhood bar type of vibe that is a hidden goldmine for money, I found a couple in the Carolinas specifically, they are generally safe and look out for their girls and a new face who is pretty and in decent shape can make really good money.

Then there's the other kind of dive......the ones that are being described above. The ones where there is crime, drugs in the dressing room, pimps hanging around, sleezy managers, and girls who want to fight you for looking at them funny, being prettier than them, making more money than them, or for any reason really. I've been dancing for 6-7 years in many different areas and I've (luckily) only encountered two clubs like this where I felt physically unsafe. I ran like hell out of them.

So my point is dives aren't always a bad thing but if you feel out of place or feel like you could make money or would fit in better at Christies give it a try and stay wherever you feel better and are making more money. The good thing about our industry is the fact that you can bounce around a bit and figure out where you fit in.
