    Default From Cam to Club

So I've been camming/making digital content off and on for about 5 years. I find that the hustle works out pretty well for me once I get a customer engaged in conversation and they get a glimpse of my personality. I find some difficulty generating new traffic because I also have a day job, that I love. I don't want quit camming because the extra fliff it generates helps me a lot and I live a pretty comfortable lifestyle, but I don't generate much extra money for big goals.

That being said, my day job is not exactly lucrative and the cost of living here is very high. I'm a bike technician/ski tech. Recently I found out that the certification course to become a master bike tech is 12 days long and costs 2k (3 with lodging, probably 4 with airfare). The company I work for will only pay for a tech to go to this course if a position is open for master tech. I have tried to push them into sending me anyway but they won't do it on their dime. I am trying to find a way to send myself (researching scholarships etc) so I will be qualified for a higher raise when that time comes around again, and to increase my marketability if we move, as well as making me the prime candidate for promotion if our master tech moves.

There's a Sinrock strip club in town, it's a full nude club with shower shows etc. Since this is AK, I know there is money in dude's pockets when they come back from the Slope/pipeline/commercial fishing jobs. I've seen the girls on fb and I think that looks wise I could do well there, albeit I've never stripped in a club. I'm a very good dancer but don't know any pole tricks. I really just want to strip for my goal maybe once a week and then stop because my time is already limited.

So thats the situation. My main questions are:
    1. Has anyone gone from camming to club and how did you find the hustle different?
    2. Has anyone stripped once a week to gain a goal or was it lucrative enough to keep it up longer?
    3. Which night of the week do you find the most lucrative?

I would research clubs in your town (it's not clear from your post if the club is in your town or in the town you would be doing training in), and just go visit. Check out the girls, check out the club, ask questions. Then go audition. Camming/dancing are TOTALLY different, it's a different hustle and you talk to people differently. Just go work. Few nights and see how it goes. Working once a week, you should be able, at the very least, be able to go on training 4 months from now ($250 a night, once a week), good luck!

Ah thanks! The town I would go to training in is in colorado, and has multiple courses throughout the year. The club is in my town. It's the only one open now, the others closed.

I haven't cammed much, but I can at least answer your second question: I currently work full-time at a tech company and strip on weekends, mostly for regulars I made when I was stripping full-time. I easily make $250-300 those days not trying very hard, and I do it in a city that is not very profitable for dancers at all at the moment. Given, I cultivated these regulars when I was dancing full-time and just managed to hang on to them once I could only see them once every other week. Still, in a lot of other places, I think you could regularly make $250-300 (or more, probably, given you're in an area where spending at strip clubs is probably higher) on a normal Saturday day shift. Probably more on a night shift, if you're not relying on regulars. If you just squirrel that money away to save for your goal, you could get to your goal in (like ShaylaSkates said) in four months or two, maybe less. There will probably be days you make a lot less, but also days you'll make a lot more.

If you're comfortable with it and willing to work hard, I say go for it.

I'm sure you also know how different stripping is from camming. The only thing I'd advise is making sure you're okay with guys trying to violate you physically, and in those instances being assertive with setting your boundaries and shutting them down.

For your third question, I think it's pretty hard to claim which nights are good and which are bad. It fluctuates. Not even just based on your region (and things are so different between different regions!), but just based on who you're talking to. I've had terrible weekend shifts and great weekday shifts. I've had the opposite. Where I am, we have these "myths" about how random nights are good, but they change based on the person you're talking to. One girl says, "Wednesday nights are always the best!" and the other says, "Tuesday days are when I always make the most money."

Tl;dr: You can do it, but it won't be a walk in the park--you'll have to feel out your local club before you know what's right for you.

Thanks very much for the response! From what I've heard this club is very strict no contact. I tried to be friendly and reached out to the two dancers who are always posted on the club's fb page, saying hello and asking if they would feel comfortable sharing any pros and cons of working there. They both read the messages but never responded. I'm not offended, I imagine they are probably sitting on a goldmine it being the only club in town and they are wary of the competetion.

See my man and i do alright with our income but we just got a second vehicle and want to pay it off asap. I'd like to be able to afford the training and then build up a lil nest egg for myself in case something happens to him (you never know). I think dancing at this time in my life is a good idea. In a couple weeks I plan to audition, I'll let you all know how it goes. Thanks again for your time!
