Default Modern 80s rocker hair ?

So I love vintage shit and my natural hair lends itself quite well to these thick wavy 80s styles..but are they aging or cute? I mean I think it'll be pretty obvious I'm not old enough to have lived through the 80s (unfortunately, I would have loved to) but as long as I don't coat my hair w aqua net hairspray and keep it fresh and kinda modern, yay or nay? Im going back to work so this is why I ask, I know customers can have some vanilla basic taste when it comes to female style lol . longer hairstyle? IMG_0867.JPGIMG_0863.JPG

ooo ooo ooh I totally can give you heads up here.

My advice, pick a cut/style that flatters your face.

I definitely recall a lot of 80s hair relied on a LOT of styling, shampooing and (sometimes) processing. Like that frizzy perm look was so huge for so damn long.

I get all excited about 80s stuff because it was a very innovative decade. But with hairstyles from that era you have to be careful. Not all of them aged well.

edit to add- keep it longer but layers & some lightening would be really cool, if your complexion bears it out.

I think that blonde hairstyle with the bangs is cute! And could definitely be sexy and work in the strip club. It looks more like 70s or Brigitte Bardot-y to me lol but I think it's pretty.

Omg I lived through the 80s. Bold Hold hairspray and a hairdryer was my friend (or frenemy, looking back!)

You could totally choose a hairstyle that is 80s inspired, but with a modern twist to it. I like the options you have above. They are eighties inspired, but fresh. Just make sure you choose something that's flattering to your face.

Where you live I don't recommend it. It is not an alt. friendly enough area. Or maybe if you want your hair like that for personal ife just wear a wig when dancing. I love 1980's styles. Like, LOVE them. Esp. the neon colors and tacky shit. I have posted 1,000,000 times about that. I just feel like hair is one area where you don't want to to do that.

It is not so much that I think it is aging but that it makes you look... southern... in a bad way. I am so sorry!!! I do not mean to say that in an offensive way at all, I just feel like when you go through the scary parts of the south the girls have hair that is feathered on the side or excessive roots with bleached hair or tased hair that was popular in the 1980's.

I do like the longer one with the bangs and also crimped hair which I know is a bit contradictory to everything else I just said but if your hair is long it can be really cute.

Honestly I think you'll be fine. Most guys 1.) do not have an eye for detail and 2.) have next to no concept of trends and fashion. If you showed them a messy blonde hairdo from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s...etc they probably would barely notice a difference. I really like Dorothy Stratten's hairstyles from the late 70s and early 80s, fluffy blonde feathered hair:

^^Omg, I looked her up and it's crazy because a long time ago somehow I stumbled across her account and was really struck by how attractive she was. I never followed her though because like 85% of her posts are not of her. I don't want to see a bunch of pics of 80s bands and shit. I LOVE her hair too, I love messy hair in general. I long winged bangs like this but they seem to look best on square-shaped faces and my face is very long and thin so whenever I try it it looks like shit: http://ink361.com/app/users/19423393...559_1942339310
