    Default Older dancers

I should know better, but I enjoy dancing. I didn't in my 20's but now in my 30's I enjoy the attention and money. I fear being thought of as the dancer who won't move on from dancing. I'm old enough that I know I should not care what anyone thinks. As long as I stay in shape, make money....who the fuck cares. Wait....I fucking care.

Anyone have some uplifting thoughts? I have other things going on in life so it's not like I'm not bettering myself.

I'm 43 and still making money. Still staying in good shape. One guy told me I look better now than 10 years ago. I feel good overall, but I want to stop dancing this year. Better to move on now.

Thanks, i don't think it should matter if you feel good about it and you are making money for yourself and the club, but it's an insecurity that I have every once in a while. I get Botox, workout, eat right. I guess it doesn't matter, no one is perfect and we all have things we are insecure about so it's better to just own it and make it work for me.

I have other things I'm working on to fall back on, but I felt very judged the other day so thanks.

Hah! I'm in my 30's and I run circles all over these whiny ass Tumblr strippers. I don't cry over one bad night, I don't come to work to party, I invest in myself with plastic surgery and injections. As I've stated before youth is a fleeting commodity that any little idget with a TJ Maxx bra and panty set and church shoes can possess. Props to those that have stayed and thrived in this industry for as long as we have. And it's not from being coddled.

The top earner that I know is a 40ish spinner with INSANE hustle skills and no surgical augmentations whatsoever.

    I agree

Astheticmedicaltraining.com is good place to get cheap fillers and Botox. It's basically students who do the injections while a doctor watches. They did a great job on my Botox and it's was $7 a unit! Since I HAVE to keep on top of my Botox this saves me a lot of money. Just go to model and click register to see the cities they are doing clinics in.

I honestly don't think 30s is so old that anybody would think "wow give it up girl" , unless you're really haggard as fuck, which it doesn't sound like you are! Half the dancers I've worked with have been in their 30s and up. I've worked with dancers in their late 40s and I haven't heard customers saying anything negative about the ones that looked good, they actually talked about appreciating the fact they were closer in age to them or didn't comment on their age at all. If you look good, you look good and that's that!
I plan on rocking it til around 45 haha, I wanna be that badass shark who really knows the game and has killer abs :p

    Oh no....that sucks.

We are where we need to be in life.Don't let anyone put you down for being older and still dancing. We are where we are for a reason, and when time is up, we'll move on. It was probably some asswipe who was jealous that you can still dance and make money.

I didn't even start dancing til I was 31, haha! And it's probably good that I didn't start in my 20s. I was a very dumb, naive drunk/stoner who probably would've gotten herself into shit loads of drama.

I'm doing better in my 30s than I did as a dumb impatient 20 something stripper.

In my case sadly the inside of my body is zombie-like regarding my overall health. My outside looks ok. So I dance part time as to not literally kill myself doing it.

If my health luck had been better I'd still be out there putting in overtime for stripper money.

I retired at 36 for two reasons: 1) there just wasn't the money in it that i used to make. When people started call £200 a good night i knew that stripping was dead for me. And 2) my dayjob career stepped up a level and i needed to be doing that work rather than club work.

I miss the money and if i could head back to a club every now and then i would but the industry has changed and you can't really do that anymore in the UK in the way you could ten years ago.

I think being older carries a whole load of advantages - your confidence, self assurance, focus, conversational skills and maturity catch guys who are willing to spend. Let the younger girls throw back shots with the window shoppers while your money. As long as you're in shape, well groomed and happy to do it then carry on (although you should always be working on your retirement plan).

Guys literally have no idea what a woman in her 30s looks like. I'm almost 33, and guys tell me I'm 23 to 27 . Don't worry about the customers....worry about not being annoyed by the young ones

Type it in google aesthetic medical training it really is a good deal since my botox at a clinic would cost $2000 year if I didn't do this and groupons.

Can I just throw out a tip? MICRONEEDLING! Amazing y'all! It works for scars, stretchmarks, reduces pore size and gets rid of and prevents wrinkles. Look into it. I bought a microneedling pen, and have used it twice on my breasts (stretch marks. ugh) I've seen improvement already, but results can take up to 6 months, after multiple monthly treatments, for full repair of skin. I also used in on my face a couple times, and I've been getting compliments about how I look better than I have in years. Ha! Nobody knows why. I use hyaluronic acid gel, and a peptide serum with it. HTH someone!

Picking on age is a low hanging fruit taunt for strippers. I worked with this ugly dancer who said something about my grey hairs because I got dances from a customer she wanted. Fuck her, it's not my fault she was born ugly.

My little sister has more gray hair than me and she is 22. One of my nephews has more gray hair than me and he is 11!!!! Gray hair has a lot more to do with heredity than age.

Yep. I personally feel stress can add a lot of grey hair (science disagrees with this but I've witnessed otherwise.)

I'm older and another girl in my club who is thee same age and looks just like me shares the #1/2 spots for top earner. Like another poster said, I'm told by customers all the time that I look 24. I think the important things are caring for yourself and especially your body, and investing in what you're going to do if and when "that day" comes.

A good education never hurt any stripper, I promise ya that.

Nice to see a lot of the familiar faces from this site are in the "Old Lady" Club, it's very telling as far as correlation between age and success in stripping. Good job, everybody!!!!

I think that there are a lot of older ladies on this site. Which is a good thing. And some i know on here who subtract 10 plus years when they state their age on here lol!. But that's all good. Sometimes i subtract a few years when im asked too. Age is like fine wine. It gets better with age.
