A lot of the girls I work with try wigs depending on what kind of shift it is. Usually they try them out for fun, so it might be best to do it during a shift when you know there are plenty of regulars you can hang out with. That way, if it doesn't work out, you can always joke about it.
I'm management, so I can't say much for what it's like to wear one, but some girls absolutely KILL with a good wig on. Just depends on how you're looking to roll with it. I know they can be difficult as an every day accessory, so it'll definitely add to your prep time, which should be taken into account.

Well, thanks a lot, welcome to the forum!
My real hair takes forever, I thought it might be a good change.
Also, I want to try the color red.
Thanks for answering

Hey girl. I've had waist length wigs that were too heavy and usually had some layers cut into them. But they're definitely lots of fun. My preferred length is midback, but waistlength can be great if you find the right wig

Thanks. I plan to get w/EV wig I choose professionally styled, they usually do have too much hair, making it look 'wiggy'

My wigs were always just past shoulders like t shirt arm length, I cant imagine how heavy a bum length one would be, I would be worried it would come off.

Yea, you do have a point. Yrs ago I had a long one, Idk how I danced in it.
This site had a 'capless' brand too.

Yes, I like long wigs/ clip ons. That's all I'll wear.
Even though I have thick waist length hair, I love the look of a wavy, or curly wig.
I still have one of my clip ons from René of Paris( which I noticed sells on the site you mentioned), from over 20 years ago.)
That site is too expensive, IMO. I buy all my wigs on eBay, from American sellers. $20 is the most I've ever paid... including free shipping.
This is from the site you looked at. Love it, but wouldn't pay the price.

Yea, I liked it too^..although there's a couple that are about 'bra strap' length/a bit shorter that I like better.
For that length, honestly, I don't feel that price's too terribly high, esp if it's a quality wig.
I'm on the lappie now, so I'm going to look again, there was one I really like around 88. or so.
I also don't want to get an Ebay wig, I prefer to use a company that'll let me return it (I know they charge a restocking fee)

^ that wig is nice but I would not pay that much, You could get it from a beauty supply for probably $40. I always get mine from beauty supply and try on a ton of them.

You know, I'm going to check this one area, if it's still there, there was a wig store recommended to me @ a salon I used to go to..
What drives me crazy about the online sites, they give these tiny swatches of color, how tf are you supposed to tell if that's going to look good?
The only beauty supply stores I know are Sally's, they have some cheap looking wigs..most of the supply stores require a license (except Sally's) but I'll
check around, thanks.
Edit: That one place must be gone..I kept looking but I didn't see anything else. I know some salons sell wigs, but they look cheap, the ones I've seen

^ Try the African American beauty supply they have a ton of styles and colors.

You gotta be careful with wig shades, I always used to get the same one at one point and sometimes the guy in store would pull out a few packages with same colour written on them and they could be slighty lighter/darker !

lol that's how my real hair looks, right down to the color. I've been debating on wearing a wig lately, so tired of styling my real hair and I want to put less stress on it because my ends get fried so easily. I wore them for a year but customers just love playing with my hair. I've had some who literally just want me to sit in their lap and let them stroke it.

Wow nice hair. I its nice sometimes to give your hair a break, also only takes a few minutes to throw on. Maybe just wear your real hair on shifts for hair loving regs.

^maybe its a wholesale or something, I hope there is a normal one near by, I googled the ones here and checked the reviews before I went.

Thanks, I looked on yelp, way more helpful than yellow pages.com. I saw a store I've driven by but never stopped in, they sell clothes & wigs, supposed to have a great selection
