Default Nice N' Easy Over Bleach-- Yes? No?

    Hello there, ladies.

I have bleached hair. It is a level 10. I think it's too light, and I want to dye it a darker blonde.

I've done an excellent job with the bleach. The base is just perfect. It actually looks professional, besides the fact that it's too light for my skin tone.

    https://www.amazon.com/Nicen-Permane...%2Bblonde&th=1

I recently purchased this, but I'm kinda uneducated with hair. Is this dye, or is it bleach? Will it wreck my hair? Most of the reviews say it's great...I'm just really confused because this is my first time using drug store box dye. I used to use purple shampoo and conditioner to tone, but I want something permanent because I'm going darker blonde.

Also, before anyone tells me to go to the salon....I'm never going to a salon again. I've been to high and end salons and low end salons, they fuck it up every time. I don't know if it's my hair type...or what, but they always manage to ruin it beyond repair. After the $500 disaster of last year, I'm taking things into my own hands. I never want to loose my hair again. I hated wearing wigs while waiting for my hair to grow out. No thanks.

yes, thats just a hair dye....if your hair is too light and doesnt have any weird tones you can likely just use a box dye in the color you want. it will damage it like any dye will but not too bad as long as u deep condition after

Go to Sally's and get a wells toner. It'll get you darker and take away any brassy tones and won't fade as much as the cheap shit box dyes from Walmart. I do my own hair too, most salons don't know wtf they're doing and charge an arm and a leg for the privilege of fucking you hair up

Yea, I'd stay away from box dyes, me personally, I especially hate Clairol brand, even the professional line.
We had a rabbit'S advice sounds good, or you can ask @ Sally's
Sorry to hear about your hair, I'm growing out a disaster from Dec last yr

I have to ask, what did the salon do that caused $500.00?
    Wow
Also, Sally's carries temporary dyes, I'd consider those, to be easier on your hair
    Good luck

Alright. You guys are right, the Clairol might fuck up my hair. I did some research and I'm glad I posted this, Thanks ladies!

I am going to return the Clairol I bought, and I'm going to use some Ion Brilliance instead because the reviews are great. Do you ladies think this is a good idea? I want to use Wella, but it requires 30 vol developer. I don't feel comfortable going beyond a 10 vol. I know Wella is really highly recommended, of course. I might give in and buy it depending on what you ladies have to say.

My personal opinion is to let your hair grow out a bit and add lowlights to create a more dimensional look without frying it. If your hair is very light, deposit only hair color may not ruin it terribly but it is not very good for it either. What is your natural color?

Remember..you already have bleached your hair..anything on top that, using more developer (bleach, no matter the volume) you're asking for trouble - I also dislike Wella color prods b/c everything requires more bleach.. 30 Vol???? NOooooooooooooo
They have this Roux brand, I believe it doesn't have any of that, (it washes out every shampoo) double check w/Sally's rep.

I used this, to brighten up my color temporarily, it also comes in darker shades http://www.sephora.com/shade-variati...20grid:p401450

It's pricey, they have cheaper versions in other brands..I'd recommend doing a strand test to see how it comes out, & do a consult w/some one @ Sally's too, I'm sure they carry a variation of this besides the Roux
    Good luck, be careful pls

I always use a 20 developer (or even ten?). 30 developer is way too strong

Right, but she's already bleached her hair, she wants it a bit darker, & if she repeats the whole process it could damage it

Exactly, yeah. I am bleaching from a level 5 brunette hair color. I'm really fortunate because my hair never gets really brassy, it always lifts to a pure banana yellow color (or slightly lighter).

Maybe look into veggie dyes or use a lot of olaplex and coconut oil? Cause unless you leave it, unfortunately it WILL add to the damage whether it's dye or a toner. so it's about deciding how much your hair can handle. But ion is pretty good for an "over the counter" dye . Use Demi

With demi you still need to add some developer (bleach) to work, unless she tries the products I suggested, they can even be somewhat drying & the color may not take exactly as expected, which's why I suggested a strand test first , & a consultation
Also, talking to an Oleplex rep today, she said it helps a lot but may not stop all the damage
I think Gia had the best suggestion, which's to wait a bit
