Sorry if there are already threads about this, I couldnt find them.

Do you take the next day off? Leave early? Switch up your look/ hustle?

What do you do when it's just *not*happening even if the club is packed, but no one is spending, the LD/ champagne rooms are empty and the girls aren't getting any stage money even though the club is normally good $$$?

I ignore them and keep an eye on new people coming in. Or I just say fuck it, write the day off, and go home. Start fresh the next day.

Keep hustling. Sometimes I just go in the dressing room and relax for a bit, eat a snack, freshen up, and/or text a regular to ask him to come in. Whatever you do, don't give up and don't get discouraged.

Worst comes to worst, resort to more aggressive hustles. Don't ask for dances, demand them. "Come on, we're going for a dance now. You can drink your beer later. You came here to have some fun, so we're going to have some fun." Take customer by the hand and lead him to lap dance area.

Step 1, don't panic, get pissy or take it personally. That just makes it soooo much worse; most guys can sense the negativity and desperation. If it puts me in too bad a mood and I cannot turn it around, I just leave. But for example, last night was shitty... we are talking $8 shitty... until that ONE customer at the end of the night, which made my shift worthwhile in the end. Granted, I was in a good mood, fresh from a months-long dance break, and had the patience to just keep telling myself "It only takes one customer, and it isn't closing time yet".

In the meantime, I people-watched, enjoyed my stage sets because I love pole, did some outfit changes just to see what happened, etc. In the meantime, I did not exhaust and wear myself out by wasting time on people I got bad vibes from, seemed like time wasters, etc. I kept my hustle to "smarter, not harder" because I do get exhausted being pushy and indiscriminate with my energy. But that's cuz I am an introvert with limited reserves. So mostly I find a perch, keep an open inviting body language, and often my perfect customer will come and find ME. Anyway, that's what works for me. Some people crank up the hustle but for me that backfires most of the time.

All good advice here. I'm just a cranky 12 year veteran and sometimes don't have the patience, though I should. Take a break in the dressing room, have a snack, keep hustling. If all else fails, then I'd say fuck it and go home lol.

    I had this issue lately.
I keep high energy and work harder. Laws of attraction come in. I keep telling myself every no will lead up to a yes. I keep hourly goals. I look busy even if I'm not. Don't be that girl and give up and look at your cell. You have keep trying and yes switch up your hustle if needed. Take hour break. Don't join the locker room full of girls crying about there night.... be that girl who some how walk out with great money

This can happen time to time during slow season. But remember it can be just one customer or your last customer to make your night. I been lucky the last 30 mins and get called into a VIP or a string of dances. Customers don't have a clock on their heads telling when they will spend so keep hustling until one says yes.

I had one of these days Friday. Unfortunately I let the bad vibes and exhaustion and lack of $$ get to me and had to bag it and go home. Which really sucks because I have a three hour drive each way- so my bad days are compounded by having driven all that way for jack shit. I'm normally really upbeat and even when its dead I get people laughing. The dj ran a 2 for 1 when there was only the same barfly that had been there all night in the room. So I ra around and "hustled" the empty chairs, then gave a fake lap dance to one of them. I had all the girls laughing and it really upped the mood in general. Not enough to save my night but still those are the kinds of things I do when its crappy. Just act silly and goofy and wait it out.

Honestly, becoming super disconnected from my money is the #1 BEST thing that has ever happened to me. I've completely and totally accepted that sometimes bad nights happen and at the end of the day it doesn't fucking matter at all because I always know that I'm gonna get my money eventually whether today tomorrow or next week it doesn't matter.

Having some savings and being ahead of bills definitely helps in this regard because there's less stress about when the money needs to come. As long as it comes eventually its all good. I don't let myself get upset or bummed when I have a bad night. I see it as a night I get to catch up on some reading, read some interesting news articles, studying for school or practicing chess on my phone.

Usually when I've exhausted a crowd or need a break I retreat to the DR so customers dont see me looking bored and unwanted, but if its one of those nights where nobody else is selling dances either then I just plop myself down in a visible area, stretch "sexily" and read articles on my phone. Either I spend the rest of the night entertaining myself OR-- this ends up happening about half the time-- a customer will sit down next to me, usually make a snotty comment about me sitting on my phone, to which i reply "i was just reading this article about ___! did you know about this? What do you think about it!?" and redirect the conversation and end up making all my money off that 1 dude.

or I'll leave without much at the end of the night but the next day I know is gonna be a fresh new day and a new crowd tomorrow
Do your future self a favor and work hard now.

    Back on topic...

Take a break, have a snack in the dressing room, text your regulars, just dont look bored/ lonely on the floor. Keep hustling, watch for new custies, and if all else fails, go home and start fresh the next day.

I look at the "Everyone is broke" problem this way.
    a) They ALL are lonely.. NOT Likely the case
    b) They ALL are NOT turned on...Again, NOT Likely
    c) They all are Bored .. NOt Likely
    d) They ALL want something for nothing .. Maybe, but Not realistic, even for them
What I do is Marketing... finding out some of the likes and dislikes of some I KNOW would spend. I dont always get a dance, But I do get "Amo" of information to give me an advantage over some that dont "know" the customer. Good example, at one club there is a regular who is into cars, specifically Ford mustang. I have seen his car picture but have no clue about it really, But when he comes in and Im there, Ill ask how his car is doing. Once he starts in , I tell him I can listen better to him in "private" . Its a win win for him. His wife couldnt give a shit about his old car, and he gets to have some "quality" time with a girl who lets him "vent", while making money..... I ALWAYS Remember that Mental Therapy IS part of this Job !!
I sometimes will take dead time to get to know a Doorman ( If there is one on), Really well. Some from other clubs will visit me when they are Not working at their club. I want them to know my Body, and and Really like it well enough to "HIGHLY" recommend me to customers. He is my First contact person, and I want him to know he workin' for me. YUp doing the "Getting to know the Doorman" isnt Cash NOW, but it is a worthwhile investment to me. I have had 5 that moved on to other jobs that came back, just to spend time ( $$$) in a Lap dance.

at my club we are not allowed to be on the phone OR be in the dressing room for longer than like 2 min, literally. so annoying. i try to look busy by chatting with the bartender or a regular while scanning the room for new victims. the worst is looking like nobody wants you.

^^The club I work at now also has a no phone policy and I've worked at clubs in the past that clear the dressing room after like 2 seconds and I hated that when it was super slow because I didn't want to be the one sitting by myself looking bored because I feel like that looks bad to new customers coming in.

There's a lot of really good advice in this thread. With me personally, if I feel myself getting discouraged and upset I usually ask if I can cut out early because those feelings don't help anything. If I am in a good mood that day and still have hope I'll try to make myself look busy even if it means sitting with one of those "I'll buy you a drink but don't tip a fucking dollar or buy dances" regulars for a couple of songs or until new guys come in I can try. It's really hard not to get discouraged in these situations and even harder when it seems like everyone is getting tipped and going to the back but you but if you try to hang in there and make it through the shift it could be worth it. I had a night like this once, where it seemed like every girl was making money but me all night but at the last minute I sold a really expensive dance and got big bills onstage. You really do just need that one guy.

I get in a bad mood, and if it's bad enough I leave. F'ck that. I tell the manager I have diarrhea haha.
If I don't leave I start becoming a real bitch and everyone knows that doesn't make much $$$.

I wish I would have read this thread a few days earlier lol. On Good Friday for some stupid reason I thought it would be a good idea to hit the club to work.
Anyways I only sold 2 dances and ended up losing money that night UGH.
I tried going to the DR to take a break and have a snack but the vibes were so bad that night and the whole night was flipped upside down. A lot of other girls who usually are in the back all night were barely selling dances so it made me feel better but yeah...I ended up leaving early because I forgot to have coffee before hand and I was fucking exhausted.
