Getting caught up in a random shooting at work is one of my greatest fears.
If shootings are happening at schools, malls, movie theaters, gay night clubs, etc., it's really only a matter of time until strip clubs start experiencing these issues.

Some strip clubs require customers to go through metal detectors.

There was a similar past thread about random violence in the club and surprisingly most dancers said their clubs don't scan customers for weapons. Ironically a few people assumed only dangerous clubs needed weapons checks.
I personally would not work a club that didn't check incoming patrons for weapons. That was one of my worst fears too like some crazed psycho stabs me in the back for refusing OTC or some shit.

Almost always happens because the shooter(s) got thrown out--then they either come back shooting or wait for the bouncers or staff to leave. Occasionally it's something else motivating them.
Lost two friends in shootings from situations that started in stripclubs, and two more should have died. Narrowly avoided it myself once, about 10 years ago.
And thank all the gods this one guy that waited for us a couple months ago didn't have a gun, & also that his 6-7 very large friends weren't actually hostile but just thought they were 'backing him up', not springing an ambush on the 3 of us leaving. Long story, happy ending he he.
Avoiding the rougher clubs is a good idea if this shit scares you. Though it happens at 'upscale' clubs also sometimes, it's a lot less frequent.
