    Default Wig Newbie Help!

Hey, Ive accepted that my already thin hair is thinning, and if I want to continue dancing I would probably be damaging it even more to style it so many nights a week. Im 30 years old and latina...I think the maintenance of extensions are a time and money pit for results that arent even that dramatic on me

Im open to any advice from anybody on the what I need to get to invest in a secure, quality wig. Im obviously the most worried about it staying on my head since our line of work is physically demanding.

If any girls wear wigs to work please jump in! Id love to see links to shops and wigs you have bought and your experience on the floor with them

GIRL...let me tell you...you DO NOT need to spend all sorts of money on wigs.

I always had sew in extensions..my natural hair is thick, grows fast..just hard to maintain. Then I realized sew ins damage my hair. For sew ins, I paid around $300-$400 for the hair alone...then $100-$150 to get it installed.

So I decided to switch to wigs. I THOUGHT the more the wig cost, the better. That's not the case... I was spending $300-$500 per wig and they wouldn't last long. One night I was out with a friend, her hair was on point, my $300 wig was not..I asked about her hair and she told me she only spent $40!!

So I started buying wigs under $50, not only do they last longer, the hair style last forever.

TRY it at least- you have nothing to lose but under $50. I get mine from my local beauty shops so I don't have a link to provide. But what I can do is provide you with some youtube links for advice on how to make them look more expensive. It works..personally for me, I dust them in baby powder or mattefying powder to take away that plastic look. Of course, handle with care, don't sleep in it, don't put heat.

Oh and to add, wigs are generally secure. Unless you are one of those pole assassin dancers?
