    Default Kit Kat Portland?

    Hello!

I am looking for any info about Kit Kat Club in Portland. I have visited as a customer and it seems alright. Anyone dance/d there? I am wondering if it's reasonable to want to make $250ish on those mid shifts. I know it's a stage-centric club, which I like. Just wondering if it's worth a try. Anyone, anyone? Is it so awesome that no one wants to spoil the secret?

Ha! Wellll. It's a lot like Lucky Devil, in fact owned by the same guy. So, that said, it is good vibes, cool people. The venue is beautiful and clean; not falling apart like Devil's point. However, it's the SAME DAMN Portland dive phenomenon. Like Lucky D and Sassy's, it takes tiiiiiime to get on night shift.

Not only that, at Kit Kat, you apparently won't even get on nights until you have a "feature" set, meaning a themed set; costumed, kinda sorta burlesqe-y, or otherwise above and beyond the usual strip club stage show.

I have ideas for a feature set but dude, I worked at Lucky Devil for a fucking year and never got a night shift. I am gonna get old and gray waiting around, proving I won't bail on shifts, bla bla bla until I get night shifts. Not only that, I have no idea how much it's even possible to make on nights.

All I know is, on a Tuesday from 4-9, I went home with fucking $46. The other gals didn't do any better. It's hard to hustle when there are NO CUSTOMERS IN THE PLACE.

It did start picking up right at the end of my shift. By the time I was dressed and walking out, there was a small crowd ready and waiting for the night shift gals to start.

So that's my synopsis after one shift there. Strangely, I really like it there, so I might stick it out, but I will need to work somewhere that ACTUALLY PAYS in the meantime. I love pole dance for its own sake but I am there to pay bills, not get all dressed up for funsies.

yeah, seems weird that places downtown will be dead for mids. Like don't businessmen and travelers want to see titties before 9 pm??? How was the lap dance area?

Lap dance area seemed alright. 4 booths, decent smal couch seats, each with a semi-opaque curtain. Private enough but open enough they can easily enforce the no touching rules.

What was the audition process like? (time and day, # of songs?) did you do a working audition or wait to get scheduled?

They ONLY do auditions on Mondays, 4-8. It's just showing up, give them your ID to make a copy of, fill out a piece of paper, go get changed in the dressing room, then go up on stage for 2 or 3 songs. They just work you into the rotation of whoever is already there working. It took me a total of maybe 20-30 min because there was another girl auditioning before me. Right after, they asked if I wanted to stay and do the mid shift, work til 9. But I had plans later so politely declined and they were cool about it.
