Default Running in a stripper at a reguar bar question?

Okay so I am a female customer that has been recently hanging out at strip clubs. Well I realized I had to tone it down a little cause it is expensive. So last weekend I was hanging out with my friends at a regular bar and I ran into one of the dancers from the club I go to. She was out with a couple of other girls (not sure if they were dancers cause I didn't recognize them). Well I was actually up by the bar to get some drinks and she approaches me and says hi and acts like she is happy to see me. Well she asked me if I could get her a drink and since I was ordering them anyway, I got her a drink too.

We chatted briefly and she went back to her friends and I went back to mine. My friends asked me who she was and I just said she was a girl I knew (didn't feel like telling them she was a stripper). Well the next time I go up the bar she asked if I would buy her a drink again, and so I did. And I ended up buying her another one later that night.

I sort of felt like she was hustling me for drinks, but we were not at the strip club, and it wasn't like we were hanging out together. So should she have run a hustle on me, if in fact that is what she was doing?

Well I wasn't looking at it as a competition. And the main reason I didn't say no was because I will go back to the club and I didn't want to be rude and come off as cheap. Nothing worse than going to a strip club and being ignored by the dancers. Trust me, as a female customer I know what that like. I have finally got to the point where people know I am at the strip club to spend money. I guess I was just surprised that she hustled me for drinks at a regular bar. I mean I would have probably offered to buy her the first one, but the second and third started feeling like she was hustling me.

if you didn't want to buy drinks for her you should have said something after the first drink like hey sparkle I bought you one drink already and as much as I'd like to help you I'm just here to have fun not run up a tab for anyone except myself but I bet some great people here would buy you a drink if you just mingle with the crowd.

I will add if you feel like you're getting hustled it could be possible you are. Getting a person to buy you drinks is on the very mild end of the "hustle" scale like what someone would do if they are new to hustling, don't have much in the financial / economic department, etc.

That is funny that you mentioned mingling with the crowd, I noticed she was very standoffish and gave off the "unapproachable" vibe. Like very few guys were approaching her and her group, and all the girls were cute. But contrast me and friends had a few guys come up to us, and I had a guy buy me a drink. I mean me and my friends are cute too, but it seemed like her and her group were less likely to mingle. Not sure if that is a by-product of working at club and maybe being on your guard at a regular bar. Or it could have been that her and her friends might have bf/husbands and gave off that vibe on purpose.

She's not at the club. She should've paid for her own drinks. But she saw an opportunity not to and I'm sorry but I think that was rude of her. You don't go around asking people for drinks, in or out of the club! Next time I would just say something like "My friend is paying for our tab, and I don't want to be rude and run up their bill". People will take advantage of you if you let them.

YES. It is very much a by-product of working at a club. My favorite bar to visit when I get off is a place overrun (at happy hour, anyway) with finance bros, every time I go, I have to sit in a corner at the upstairs bar to avoid the "hey lemme buy you a drink! You don't want a drink? Stop being a bitch, it's one drink!" kind of dudes. My favorite bartender there is really good about deflecting, she says "she doesn't want you to buy her a drink, but I'll take it!" Or sometimes "Oh (dude's name if he's a regular), you know I'm taking her home tonight, I don't like competition". It's hilarious and I know she has my back. When I leave the club, I don't want to talk to ANYONE. I've talked to 50 strangers at work today, I have no small-talk left in me. The friendliness supply is empty. I just want to get drunk, then leave.

Also, when I go out with my girlfriends, we want to drink together. We don't want to talk to random dudes. It's so frustrating that groups of women have to deal with dudes in bars like that. It's like, can I just have a drink in public with my girls?
