So, I have this new client - super respectful, does multiple-hour appts, and quickly becoming one of my faves. He called to schedule an appt for the weekend, but he was a little reluctant to confirm. He said he wants to keep seeing me regularly on an ongoing basis, but he's afraid of his wife seeing these frequent cash withdrawals and catching on. He asked if he could start paying me in some alternative way that would cover his ass, so to speak. His suggestion was to add me to the payroll at his company as a freelancer, and then pay me that way...I obviously said NO to that, since it would leave a paper trail, and I'm not willing to give out the kind of info that the company would probably require from me.

The only thing I could think of was having him buy me pre-paid Visa/MC gift cards, and if his wife asks, telling her he needs them for work...however, that wouldn't be ideal for me, since I've heard a lot of businesses won't accept those as payment; plus, it's a pretty flimsy excuse for him to give his wife.

Have any of you ladies ever been in a situation like this? Or do you have any ideas? He says I won't lose him as a client if we can't come up with something, but that he'd have to go from seeing me ~once a week for a couple of hours at a time, to more like once a month for an hour.

Any help you can give me will be sincerely appreciated - thank you!!
