Default Ohhhhhh The Legalities!! And the, "Say whats?"

Hi fellow ladies of the Independent Escort World. This thread is for you all.

I have a couple questions that have straight baffled the shit out of me, since I started this! I have been online escorting for only 5 months, however, I am not new to escorting. I was with an Agency, briefly, about 10 years ago, and then I danced for 9 years and then for 5 years of that, I created a companion business where I gained VIP clients and then took them out of the club for very pricy companionship. It worked wonderfully, and I cleared around $75k, the last 2 years that I was really giving it my all. Well, my son, suddenly needed to be homeschooled and so, I can no longer do long nights or 3 -4 day stints at a club, completely tired, the next day. So, I always said, I was going to do it, and finally got pushed into creating my own Independent Escort Business.

I'm learning and finding my way around. Its been quite a journey. I am having fun and have met some of the COOLEST Couples and Men. I mean, No joke, just absolute blasts, I have truly had................ BUT..........

    Here comes the questions:

    1) The term, "GFE," is supposedly Illegal to use. I see Escorts and especially porn stars who escort on the side, using the term, "GFE," All of the time! I get requests for gfe, constantly and I have no idea how to respond. I just don't respond to them. :/ HELP..... Please...... I need to stay legal, but I don't understand why so many freely use the term. I even tried to use it, the first couple weeks that I was feeling this thing out, and one of the sites that I advertise on flagged my post, but then the porn starts advertising on their pages, use the term..... That made no sense to me. What is that about?

    2) The term, "Fetish," and "Kinky," - There are options to list this on well known escort sites and I have seen many advertise this on their personal Companion pages. I understand that not all fetishes or kink, are inclusive of actual sex acts. I am a Fetish Whore..... I say that in the most loving way to myself.. honestly, truthfully, I embrace that side of me. Please, do not take that as an insult to women. I never call any of us, actual whore's and Id kick someone's ass if they said it derogatively. I am actually, a woman who promotes female empowerment and teach embracing our sexuality, with FULL ARMS AND A BIG HUG, no matter how taboo, it may be.... So when I say it to myself, It's a part of my own fetish world..... It means I LOVE IT..... I'm also a book and a library whore.. give them to me and give me lots of it..... lol. So, with that said, I really WANT to be able to list that criteria on my ad's and my website, in which I am in the process of creating. --------> HOW DO I KEEP THIS LEGAL??? PLEASE? IF ANYONE KNOWS.

3.) Thank you to those who posted the links with lawyers and retainers -- throwing this in here, just as a thankyou. If you have a wonderful lawyer, that helped you find your way through this business, I would be most gratuitous if you could point me in their direction. <3

4.) I have always placed a disclaimer on my pages that I am paid only for my time and companionship. Some Independent Escorts say that is not a good thing to do and on legal pages, that I've come across, (I don't have the refs handy at the moment), they say that it is a MUST.

5.) Is this the only place that Escorts can come together with questions or are there other resources?

6.) Has anyone heard or thought of a way to bring Escorts in your local area together, for meet n greets? I have contemplated doing this by contacting the women and skyping with them, so that they know that it is really me.

7.) To get licensed as an Escort, do I need to contact the Lawyer first, or the City?

8.) Do I have to be licensed before I go live with my own, personal, website?

    THANK YOU, IN ADVANCE.

Feel free to PM me. I've been escorting off & on for almost 2 decades.

Re- ad wording- sadly in the US any and all ad wording can lead to problems. Online surveillance detectives do learn the lingo.

    Disclaimers are always a must.

I don't think you can hold a license as an escort unless if through a LPIN brothel in Nevada. Most escorts who declare all their earnings use the title model or stripper. Nothing illegal. Remember that Al Capone was busted for tax evasion, not anything else he did.

Thank you. Ive filed my earnings from stripping since, I began. I file every year. In the state where I live, Escorting us legal and a business license can be attained.

    Thank you for responding.

That's exactly what I was wondering. I havn't been allowed to use it on my ads, but the porn stars have.... I get an auto flag message that states that GFE is not an acceptable term. I wonder, if the women who have it in their page, call the site to debate it and then are able to get it added..

I always wonder about ladies who choose this kind of work. Like do you not google? read books about things like this?
When I first started escorting, I was scared as hell. The idea of catching an STD or getting arrested scared the living hell out of me
so i stalked everything escort related as much as possible and observed other ladies and how they worked. When you do this, you also get
alot of these basic questions answered. I would be VERY afraid for anyone that jumps into such a risky business head first without doing
thorough research. Please if you do nothing else, grab Amanda Brooks book. That is a great starting point for a lot of ladies.
also see if you can get a copy of Erin Myer's escort aristocracy. Arden Moon, who is a very well known escort, also wrote a book.
Yes you'll have to spend money but you'll only be out of $20 and save yourself a lifetime of headache. Good luck.

That is probably peculiar to the site, not against any real law. It an offer of sex for money and therefore prostitution
I once had the word "cumulative" blocked from a website, poorly written program probably.

My guess - the term 'GFE' implies sex, which for money is illegal. (vs. selling 'companionship' time )

Fetish and kinky is not illegal, at least many of them. (Some states like Massachusetts BDSM is not legal because you can not consent to being assaulted, but that's another story.)
