Default I'm in chicago area and its sloooooow how is it everywhere else?

I normally make 2k-2500 a week take home working 5to 6 days a week. This year has been slow overall less people in the club and I'm making 1k to 1500 a week. Guys arent spending as much and people are just not there. Managers blame politics scaring the public into going out like before just wondering if I should change club or what I'm 110lbs C cup tiny waist small booty I'm feeling kind of down because of this.

Holy shit. Be grateful... not trying to be rude but damn... I hope somebody else on this board sees the problem here.

Maybe try being grateful and then karma will work out in your favor (so long as that's not the ONLY reason you're doing it, the it'll just backfire. it can be a reason, but not the one and only. i rely on karma myself but i also have other reasons of being nice/grateful also)

Sincerely, I'm lucky if I make $50 a week, when I had my vanilla job I would be ESTATIC at 200-500 per month (and was averaging about 200 monthly... i would be near tears once it hit 400). my family is $75,000 in DEBT living off of loans, needing loans to pay off loans, and most of my friends with the exception of like ONE (and that's only as far as i know, and the people i'm super close to) are struggling. Frankly tired of hearing people complain over their thousands when there are people in the world who will be in joyful tears over hundreds

btw i'm from chicago also, now living in south chicagoland, so do not try playing the 'cost of living' card

Omg what is with people saying 'be grateful' lately? That isn't useful to anyone on here and that's not why we have this forum.

Stripping isn't the same as a vanilla job. With all the shit we put up with from customers and the toll we put on our bodies we deserve to make a decent amount every shift. Are you making 50$ a week dancing? That's like 2 dances plus a tip. Idk how that's even possible. If you're happy with 200-500 a month thats great but most of us aren't. $500 is my minimum goal for each shift lol. That sucks other people have to struggle but as long as we have tits and a vag we are able to go to work every day and make hundreds to thousands every shift. No reason to feel guilty for that. It's hard work and we earn every dollar.

Anyway, OP I've never worked in Chicago so idk how that area is during this time of year, but down in Texas we're still doing okay. The clubs are still busy. Maybe you should take a break from that area and travel? Or try a different club?

^^Seriously what the fuck? Lol I've always thought that when reading posts like that but I think this is seriously the first time I've said it out loud on here. And the whole believing in karma thing. What kind of karma do people think they're gonna get for putting down others?

There is nothing wrong with noticing a dip in money and being curious if anyone else is noticing a dipdown this time of year. I haven't worked lately OP, but I'll update as soon as I do. Don't feel down. I was confused when I noticed my first dip in average in New York, but there are several factors that can contribute to this dipdown out of the dancer's control. View this as a positive thing. Now is the time to check out a new club, try out new hustle tactics and looks.

It really doesn't even make sense to pay house for that. I assume (hope) previous poster must have meant to type $500?

To the OP- definitely try another club in your area. If management just shrugs and says "politics" and isn't doing stuff to try to make the club busier, it might not be the best club in the first place.

If you're open to traveling have a look at the Club Chat board. With your measurements you probably won't have trouble getting hired in a lot of areas.

No offense but you need to switch clubs. You can get a normal vanilla job for $1000/week.

Idk Toronto is good. I make about $1500 working 2-3 days a week, in the summer that goes up to $2000+ working 3 days. If I worked 5 days I'd obviously be making more..Maybe it's your club? Clubs been slow lately but it's not horrible.

Thanks to everyone who posted except the girl making 50 a month. Id probably die of depresion if that was me. Even 500 a month is horrible dealing with these men. I'm going to try a different club this next month maybe polekatz or something. There's a new club in chicago that opened gold club and i think they took a lot of customers away. Sometimes people think oh 1500 a week is a lot but after gas babysitter and 20% taxes 1500 looks more like 800 a week.

I work on the Illinois side near St. Louis. Come down here! Money has been pretty great lately, actually. Just come down for one weekend, try Penthouse, Hustler, or Hollywood. See if you do any better. Might just be your area. Stay in Fairview Heights or O'Fallon, IL, to avoid overpriced hotels in downtown STL

What club are you working at? I've worked at a couple of clubs in Chicagoland in the past. I'm thinking of going back to it & looking to see which ones would be better choices/stay away from.

My club is very inconsistent. One day I'll make 50 dollars, the next I'll make 1200. It used to be that I could easily make 300-600 avg. A day. It feels like most of my business come from long- term regulars, and it's been getting harder to cultivate newer clients. Then again, I'm also really burned out too.

    Can you travel?

I would consider checking out where there's events close by like NFL games, conventions, winter tourism etc and book yourself to work. I'm in Ontario and this is usually our busy time of year and things get better towards Christmas.

It’s sooooooooo slow for me! I hear others complain as well,so it’s not me. *wipes forehead* Lately I’ve been considering a vanilla job since it’s that bad. I get the consistency stripper life, but lately? MAJOR inconsistency

Some areas are better than others and some are seasonal. Truth. I basically feel that I have to have financial goals for each shift to feel positively about my job. I'd rather be a waitress/secretary than feel like, "welp, I make what I make" I want to be making twice what I'd be making in half the time than what I'd make with my clothes on. Although I do plan on retiring eventually, and I have felt earnings dips in clubs. Where I live now I've had to try several clubs to find a good fit for mostly consistent money being that clubs here definitely have a busy and less busy season, so I'd say to any dancer, don't be afraid to travel. Layla's advice was gold. Even in your city check event, concert, conference and game dates and work those days. Try a variety of clubs in your area. As entrepreneurs we have to exhaustively look for money. But as cardi b says a ho doesn't get cold. LOL. Try to see it as an adventure not a struggle even though it obviously is a struggle. Stripclubs are half foot foot/airport/financial district/tourist district traffic and nights where there are big events business/sports whatever in the area the club wil be best marketed to the kinds of customers that spend money on us. Men who are celebrating/away from wives/travelling for work.. this is my only advice, thank you for sharing and I know what it feels like to be having a bad time at work.

I'm from Austin, TX and it's slow as well here. But like many have said we are lucky to make what we make. My friend was a dancer and then she got pregnant unexpectedly back in May. She had to find a vanilla job and let me tell you I've never seen a woman struggle as much as she does. She is lucky to make maybe 600 for 7 days of Work.. Plus her husband even was working. But both of them working still didn't cover everything plus the cost of a new baby. So it made me appreciate making (what takes her to make In 7 days) , I make in a night (sometimes more). I understand that you have bills but honestly we all do. And also like others have said you could try a different club. Sometimes it could be the club or even sometimes it's the fact that you aren't fresh to that club . I move around constantly. I have at least 3 different clubs I rotate in between. Just so I never get into a rut. I hope you can figure stuff out. I remember working in Chicago (used to live there) when I was new to dancing and I wasn't fond of it too much not because lack of money but because girls up there have a stronger hustle then we do down here in austin. Plus the sign in fees were ridiculous. (Vegas has extravagant fees as well). Any who I'm rambling cause I haven't had enough coffee. I hope it picks up soon or you try another better club

Thats nothing new - CHicago is always slow in the winter, just wait until it gets really cold outside. Also, do consider its holiday season. Are you new to Chicago?

Florida here. I find most think Florida is pretty slow but I went from averaging $500-700 literally last month to only $200 a shift and even less this month. So, I'm on a holiday break right now. Guessing its bad most places since Christmas is coming up ... don't get discouraged but do try other places as well if you feel you want to; no need to be tied down to one club! That's the beauty of the job!
