Default Newbie friendly clubs in New Orleans?

I've been thinking about dancing for awhile now and just moved to New Orleans, so I figured why not go for it in a new city. I've been to a few clubs down here while visiting so I kind of got a feel for it, but would love some opinions! I know some basic pole tricks, nothing too crazy, and I also have quite a few visible tattoos (I've heard that some clubs down here aren't interested in girls with too many) but besides that it's not like a have a super "alternative" look. I know the summer will be a slower which I don't really mind starting out, but it would be awesome to here some feedback on places that are good stating points for a new dancer.

most places will hire a new dancer, at least for day shift. the only ones that probably won't are penthouse, and maybe hustler and cabaret (altho you could probably still do day shift at either)

I think it's good to have experience before working in a busy place like NOLA but if you're starting during a slow time, maybe they'd cut you some slack. I think they just want to see if you look like you have experience when you are on stage and dealing with customers. You don't have to be obscenely attractive to get hired in NOLA but of course, it helps in order to do well. I worked at Rick's Cabaret during the Mardi Gra season for four weeks a couple of years back, and then again, in the Fall for a couple of weeks another time. It's upscale but not pretentious. The fees are very low, prices high, and the earning potential is good so much that girls from all over were visiting or even moving there, even a few girls from NY. I had a friend who worked at Hustlers and she loved it there. I couldn't get hired at Penthouse which is another well-known club, so I just stayed at Ricks.

Might want to avoid moving until september/october....maybe even november/December. The city is tearing up bourbon street, digging up pipes, wiring, and repaving. Theyve put up a 7 foot barricade down the 300 block where Ricks, Stillettos, and Temptations are. The clubs and sidewalk are still open but its seriously screws foot traffic. Next month a similiar barricade goes up on the 200 block where Deja Vu, and Hustlers are and the 400 Block where Barely legal, Scores, and Lipstixx are. Ricks Saloon and Big Daddys are safe until September and October but good luck getting hired when every girl on bourbon realizes this.
