Dizzy Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, and Nutri System, Oh My!

I'm thinking of trying one of these methods for dropping some poundage,( maybe 50 Lbs?). Would love to hear from any ladies here that have tried them.
There are threads, but they are so old, that I'm not sure if the info is relevant.
I like the idea of pre packaged foods, because I don't cook.
    Thanks so much in advance.

I've never tried any of them, but one of my Facebook friends lost a lot of weight on Weight Watchers. She said it's easy to follow and she doesn't feel deprived. It goes by points and you're supposed to stay within a certain amount of points per day. Each food has a certain number of points. You aren't limited to pre-packaged meals-I believe there's a book you can buy that lists various foods and their points. It may even be online.

Ive done all three. Nutrisystem is gross. I hate weight watchers since Oprah revamped it. I lost the most weight with Jenny Craig. But they're weird about the cost. And the cost changes a lot. But they have good counselors. And the food is okay.

I've done diet pills on and off for years. The thing that bothers me about them is that I end up drinking to bring me down because the pills amp me up so much. Do you have that problem?

Well, I just want to insert here, I just finished an article saying how some supplement are very bad for the liver, ESPECIALLY weight loss, & green tea.
There's a book out that's said to be good called Glycemic Index.
Honestly, I don't think there's any shortcuts about a lot of this stuff.
Over a year ago, I was shocked to learn I'd gained 15lbs ( I rarely stray from my weight)
Turns out it was partially due to 2 medical conditions, 1 is ok now but the other's ongoing..
One thing I did was cut out dairy (later that was found to be an allergy anyway)& fried foods.
Those 2 things right there, for me, helped a lot.
Also, I feel aging & stress played roles
Wish I could be more help

The beauty detox solution is what worked for me, its about changing how you eat, It is a book but there is a website too with loads of info and free emails of recipes, I did not follow the diet 100 but the way of eating . I lost a lot even when I did not exercise besides walking. I went from size 6 to 1 and my stomach was flatter than it had ever been.

If you're not ready to do this program the rest of your life I'd advise against this. While I may not be the guru of all things healthy I'm telling you IMO just eat 3 small meals with 2 snacks and workout. You won't feel deprived and the weight will come off.

My opinion is these programs only are helpful if money is no object. For most people they'd be better off using books or the Internet to craft a diet plan. Or see a nutritionist/doctor.

I am losing weight rapidly from cutting calories and getting a lot of physical exertion every day. (Tanning too, but that's not for everyone.) It took a few unpleasant weeks of skipping meals and sticking with low to no calorie drinks, but the weight is coming off.

IMO these programs are for 'rookies'/people who know nothing about nutrition/very overweight people to get those first pounds off. I think for a lifestyle change clean eating and counting macros is the way to go. it will really teach you about food and what you are putting into your body and is very effective.

don't waste money on these programs when the internet is full of info on nutrition and diet. look up counting macros and try using myfitnesspal. super effective.

    I will, definitely.
I've decided to try the weight watchers food, just to see if I like it.
I'm not a big eater, or snacker, so it must be the KINDS of food that I eat that prevent weight loss.
I love fast food, what can I say?
Learning what to eat is easy. The hard part, is feeling full for a few hours, if that makes sense.
I.e. salads make me hungry in less than an hour after eating them.

I went to one weight watchers meeting when it was in the YMCA , it was more discreet to attend there now the location for my area went got a space in a building with their sign all over the building. I don't feel comfortable going to the meetings anymore.

So now my plan is to go with a product that is also an income stream , use the products first, document my journey with them mainly because my doctor recommended it to me based on a patient who is on the same medication as me and used the products to lose weight. the product this patient used is Isagenix. I even looked into SlimFast, based on slimfast recommended schedule they seem to go with all the major meal replacement weight loss companies out there.

So it's a matter of picking with meal replacement I am going to follow and then add in getting an exercise bike for my living room. I took one spin class years ago loved it just hated my that my boobs kept hitting me. So I much rather be at home, on my bike watching a workout on youtube. and follow my meal plan.

I don't mind cooking , meal plan would work for me It's just my exercise I need to increase.

Basically with weight being one of the biggest industry out there its just a matter of picking a program and sticking with it they all seem to work, they all have people with their before and after pictures.

Omg hello my kindred spirit Yes this ^ 100%! When I'm at the market I can never figure out how to put a super clean healthy meal together , I always end up either eating out or buying pre packaged food (trader joes healthy stuff). Coffee does help quell my appetite though , but I usually only drink it in small amounts to keep from being hyped up constantly.

    Yes, we're definitely kindred spirits.
I buy the packaged foods at trader Joe's also.
Shopping at the regular market is sooo confusing to me.
I just buy from either the deli case, pre made sandwiches, or frozen foods.
