    Default Tanning to hide imperfections?

Someone suggested getting a tan to help hide imperfections such as stretchmarks. I've never actively tanned other than the ocassional laying out by the pool. I was wondering what the best course of action would be for quick and good results.

Spray tanning, tanning bed, self tanner or a combination of different options? This is all new to me so I have zero idea which method is best. Oh I do have a few tattoos as well

Tanning 10000% hides a lot of my imperfections. From cellulite, to stretch marks and scars. It only makes you look overall thinner and fitter. I prefer the tanning beds as it's an easier tan to maintain. Spray tans/at home lotions require a lot of up-keep. Lots of moisturising, exfoliating, orange sheets.. obviously you will still need to moisturise when going on tan beds but you get a very natural, even looking tan rather than a patchy mess if you've not applied your self tanner properly! It will take a few sessions on the sun beds to develop a nice base tan, but then you can go 1-2 times a week to just maintain it

From what I'm reading it seems that tanning beds/natural tanning(basically just UV rays)aren't a good idea for trying to hide stretchmarks because the stretchmarks will not darken like the rest of your skin. I may hit up the salon near me and go for a subtle but still darker than current spray tan in a booth. Just don't wanna become a horror story XD

spray tans are the best imo, they are just a lot more expensive and don't last as long. but they don't age you and in your case it sounds like you want results fast.. w/ the beds it will take a few sessions to achieve a noticeably darker color

to cover stretch marks i recommend this stuff (just don't use until at least a day after you spray tan)

it's obv for legs but you can use it wherever.. i have some old self harm scars and it covers them really well, as well as other little imperfections.. and it's cheap

I just need it to be quick cause I have an interview(I'm assuming audition as well)on Saturday so a temporary and quick fix to help me get hired/help make a little more money would be ideal. Long term I'll probably do the bed and try out that spray you linked. I have a coupon though since I signed up to their email bullshit so my first spray tan will be $15

Get a spray tan. The beds are terrible for you.

Why not do both? It's called a cocktail. You hop in the tanning bed (unfortunately, sans indoor tanning lotion) and then immediately get a spray tan immediately after.

Yes but try and do it a healthy way and avoid or minimize anything that could lead to cancer or premature aging later on.

It's not just tanning that evens the skin tone it's also diet, exercise, massage, exfoliation, etc too

I'm not sure if they have one near you but I used to have a tanning membership specifically for unlimited mystic spray tans per month. It was great because it's difficult for many to apply spray tans evenly especially on hard to reach places on your back and was quick.

Get airbrushed and then slowly work your way up in a bed.You will burn terribly if you jump in a bed and tan for 20 min/10 if in a standup.Spray then go tan for 5-10, next day a little more, etc.

Spray tan. Im still shocked that my coworkers and other dancers use tanning beds anymore. Its so early 2000s to me? I lived in a bed at that time but since I spend all my money on anti aging crap, why would I do something that only speeds up aging?

I admit, that I was obsessed with spray tans for a while but the vitiligo patchy look when the spray tan would wear off in a matter days got to me over time with scrubbing it off, etc. It was way too time consuming. I switched back to a tanning bed a few months ago and life has been easier. It's not something one should do long term though.

In Australia it is illegal to operate a commercial solarium. Trying to get an all over tan is difficult unless you go to a rare nudist beach (most beaches here require you to cover your breasts and vulva) and potentially deal with creeps, or a private yard area that is sunny and where your neighbours can't see over - unless you don't care. All the strippers use fake tan (I've met one dancer that used melanotan). It's too easy to get burnt or get bad tan lines from tanning under the sun, and have seen a lot of sore, red strippers from failed tanning attempts
